Rachel: “slightly toxic....that’s how I like my clothing” The Victorians: “slightly toxic.....that’s how I like my wallpaper”

So I showed my mom this video, and when Rachel showed the pattern, she told me, "I have that pattern!" She used the same pattern for this dress to make her bridesmaid's dress for her cousin's wedding.

Adding boning to the bodice would help solve the “frumpy bodice” issue and keep it up
-
"Burlap against your skin sounds like actual living hell" I actually cosplay Scarecrow from his first appearance in Batman: The Animated Series, and the mask I use is like 3 layers of burlap with latex in between, I can tell you it's actual living hell but looks aMAZING

Imagine wearing this all day at Disneyland for dapper day and then glowing at night 😱 this is so pretty I love it
-
Rachel: starts pinning patterns on floor Me: waits for Frodo to lay on them Frodo: does not disappoint
-
halloween idea: - hocus pocus dresses - jack skelington inspired dress or jumpsuit - corpse bride inspired dress, could be emily’s wedding dress and you could figure out a way to incorporate her exposed ribs, like plush or embroidery - a poofy pumpkin shaped lolita dress - a candy corn dress with an A line poofy skirt with the candy corn colors on it, and a cat shaped bodice :3 -

WHAT does she have against fat caterpillars they're friend-shaped
-
Burlap: the Halloween version of glitter
-
"So as a mature, responsible adult I'm switching back to socks that have little grippies on the bottom."

May I just say that the closed captions are appreciated and the accuracy of them is also great! Lots of people turn CCs into their joke stream of consciousness for things that aren't in the video, which is fun, but can be difficult/disruptive for people who actually need them. Thank you for making your content more accessible (and/or to anyone who wrote them if someone else did it). :)

This dress could use a necklace of dice. Otherwise, great job lady!
-
Rachel- "just how I like my clothing, slightly toxic" Victorian mourning dresses have entered the chat.
-
You could have gone earlier and made a 40s style dress. Then you could have an Oogy Boogie Bugle Boy dress. 😁 (I'll see myself out...)

Rachel: Making an Oogie "Boogie" Dress! Me: stops everything, grabs oogie plush and sits on floor watching in awe Me: this is everything

I’m watching this while sitting in the Joanns Fabric parking lot with my new (to me, it’s refurbished) sewing machine in the passenger seat, getting ready to buy stuff for my first ever sewing project... and it’s all your fault Rachael! I keep watching your videos and getting jealous of all the amazing things you make, so now you’ve inspired me to finally give this whole sewing thing a whirl! (Please send thoughts, prayers and cookies, I’m scared!)

the caterpillar makes me think of Heimlich in a bug's life, and frankly, that is some quality unintentional Disney easter egg content and I am here for it. 😍
-
“8 yards didn’t sound like a lot until I saw her cutting it” - me at the fabric store every time
-
I'm absolutely seeing Oogie's eyes referenced in the collar shape and I'm so disappointed no one else has mentioned it and/or that it wasn't intentional. Well...not disappointed it's intentional because it's such a cool thing if it happened unintentionally.

okay but the last day of sewing outfit to me says "vintage kim possible"
