There are no words. The PMD soundfont legitimately put tears in my eyes, being the first games I ever played. I would give this an 11/10 if i could, you have legitimately outdone yourself this time, and I can only imagine how esctatic the comissioner is.

I like the use of Mystery Dungeon's soundfont. Mixes surprisingly well with Awakening's choir and more orchestral instruments.

2 games I grew up on that I love.

...it's very rare for someone to capture the power or Arata Liyoshi's work on the Explorers and Rescue Team soundtracks so well. This is one of my most wanted matchups of all time; I always dreamed of the track as a combination of Dialga's Fight to the Finish and Id (Purpose) and this captures that better than I could have ever imagined. Even if I'm obviously not the commissioner, thank you so much. I'm gonna be listening to this for a long time.

I’ve been listening to this for the past 30min. This is such an amazing piece of art! As a fan of both games, I can tell how well crafted this song is. I love that it uses motifs from Mystery Dungeon Exolorers and Awakenings music, specifically “Dialga’s Fight to the Finish” and “Id Purpose.” I love how it takes the synth, violin, and flutes from Explorers and blends them with the orchestra, choir, and marching snare of Awakening. I know many can hear the beginning notes of Dialga’s Fight to the Finish, but I also want to point out that you can also hear the beginning notes of Id Purpose too! (At 1:08) I could honestly make a video about how much I love this song! (though, I’m a little sidetracked with other projects) To the commissioner: thank you for commissioning this track! Grovyle vs Lucina is one of my most wanted match ups of all time! So glad I got to hear something as amazing as this To Therewolf: thank you for creating such a masterpiece! Despite what the future may hold, I hope you continue making amazing music be it for VS or not!

I recently finally played Awakening (loved it btw) and Explorers of Time was one of my favorite childhood games so this song hits me more than it'd before

I am honestly shocked as to how good this is! I only got around PMD; EoS recently, and played Awakening years ago. And yet the mix here is beautiful. The heroic charging of Fire Emblem music. Backed up by the supportive, almost-nostalgic Pokémon music. And the way the weave together is fascinating. Amazing work! 👏

Ah, a true Mystery Dungeon and Fire Emblem feel. I caught the reference to Through the sea of time (though I feel like it is originally a reference to Dialga's Fight to the Finish but I associate Grovyle with TTSOT so I like to think it is what's being referenced) and ID (Purpose). I am admittedly not that big of fan for this matchup but I understand the appeal behind it. Plus, both games had me emotional when playing through them and I do love both characters. As for who win, I am honestly reluctant on using Heroes scaling for any Fire Emblem characters. I know there are legitimate arguments for Heroes being cannon through engage but it ruins every Fire Emblem matchups because suddenly everyone is Multiversal+ now. It's also such a huge leap in power levels which doesn't fly by me. Enagage scaling is fair game to me to some degree though. So I'll say it now, if Heroes is used Lucina stomps, no question. Grovyle doesn't get scaling from the mainline game so he will not get the same level of scaling heroes will give Lucina to even the playfield. If it's just cannon or engage, than I'll say Grovyle will win. Grovyle already has a lot of versatility with his moves and items such as orbs that allows him to do lots of things Lucina doesn't giving him more weaponry and hax. His scaling also would be higher since even without Dialga scaling, he would still scale to PMD Raquaza who destroyed a planet destroying meteor. Lucina can get similar scaling through engage scaling since it will allow her to scale to other lords which means access to various world flooding feats but they still doesn't compare to planetary destruction and Groveyle also appears in Super Mystery Dungeon which gives him access to Mega Rayquaza scaling who has star level feats.

A absolutely heavenly track for my personal favorite matchup of all time. Amazing work, Therewolf!
