I was wondering if you would happen to know anything in regard to IUPAT (Painters Union); BAC (Bricklayers Union); UBC (Carpenters Union); UA (Plumbers/Pipefitters Union); SMART (Sheetmetal Union) and/or the IUEC (Elevator Constructors Union.)

I’m really interested in union options right now, mostly electrician, but I have a buddy that works in pipefitting. I live in Ohio and have always aspired to move to NYC, any advice on how I could join a union while also having the goal of moving from OH to NY within the next 10 years ? Have you seen anyone do something like that? Would really appreciate it, great video 👍🏻

Even better local 3 city division $66 per hour plus benefits. 403b and 457b. 5 years experience required and must pass civil service exam. There’s a preparation course available, however exam releases every 4-5 years.

I went to the info session like 2 wks ago for carpenters. I think Ima go for the general carpenters. They do a lil bit of everything. I don’t recall what’s the pay tho 55?

For Apprentice Program do you get pay during the schooling ? I already completed an electrical program in trade school (Apex Technical School) will the process be different for me ?

Just applied with helmet2hardhats for this upcoming apprenticeship aptitude exam January 4th. Do you know if they prioritize veterans ? Really want to get into this field !

Great video Rubin. I'm currently waiting for Local 3 to call me for the inside wireman apprenticeship. The apprentice department told me I should hear from them in the next two weeks. If I don't receive a call they said to call them again in August. I'm hoping and praying that I get that call soon!

Why is the pay for apprentices so low for ibew 3? Isn’t it like 18.50/hr? How you suppose to survive off that in NYC
