  • We visited Marco Island for 6 days a few weeks ago. Overall I thought that it was a wonderful environment. Traffic wasn't as bad as going over the bridge to Ft Myers Beach. However what amazed me was you can actually tell by the people of who were locals and who were tourist. The tourist were naturally nice to you. The locals were snobs and acted like we weren't accepted. We stayed at an airbnb that was well over 280 a night so we were within the area of money if you will. It just struck me that the locals in the area thought that their s#$t didn't stink. Snook Inn was a mess to get into based upon the parking lot. We did enjoy Salty Dog. We picked a week when the weather wasn't that good but enjoyed the beach two of the days. Water was great. Alot of shells to be found. It was great, but probably wont be back. We have stayed on Sanibel Island before the hurricane. When they get things back to order, we will probably just go back to Sanibel.
