Ohhhhh My Goodness 😮 This, this is amazing and like you said for all year or any holiday. I'm so obsessed with this. Thank you. I struggle anymore coming uo with ideas so I'm grateful for these because they get my mind flowing. Also, thank you for showing what you used for the gold I understand not wanting to promote one brand but it's really disheartening to see a project you love but be told you won't show what was used so you try to find and can't.

I tried to find the IOD Christmas Transfer set that you're using here but - yes - they were all sold out, so I got a few sheets of rice paper with small Christmas images on them and made the frames out of air dry clay, and then I decoupaged the cut out pictures onto the inside surface of the frames. I then painted the outer frames with Ivory paint and antiqued it with a great product I've never used before called "Moon Shadow Mist" Spray in "Gossamer Gold" by a company called Lindy's Gang. It's brilliant stuff for giving an antique look to all kinds of craft materials, including plastic, clay, paper and so on. The Spray comes as a powder pigment in a spray bottle and you have to add warm water up to the fill line at the top of the bottle and leave it to sit for up to 10 minutes. (I boiled some filtered water because I thought it might last longer with clean water, but it doesn't actually say that you have to do that) Then, after the 10 minutes, you shake the bottle between each use. I painted one of the frames I made with Ivory acrylic paint and, when it was dry, I sprayed on the Gossamer Gold Spray in patches over the top. You have to heat set the Spray with a craft heating gun or a hair-dryer and it looked fantastic. It gave the frames a real antique look over the off white paint. Thank you for this great video tutorial Lynne, and I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Lots of love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia

I want to use this idea as tree ornaments. I’ll need to find smaller frames and use air dry-clay. Maybe too heavy for ornaments?? I’ll see. Love the color of your red paint. Wish we could buy your products here in Europe at a reasonable price but with shipping, even from a European shop, your molds, etc. are just too expensive for me. 😞😞😞 Happy Holidays to all of you. 🎄🎅🎉

  • @britzel71
