New Orleans is rumored to have a strong presence of ghosts and spirits. The city’s reputation for its connection to the supernatural has led authors like Anne Rice (“Interview with the Vampire”) to set their stories here.

In this video, you will stop outside of Muriel's Jackson Square, a restaurant serving creole food. It sits on the location of a man who ended his own life. The restaurant is frequently visited by his spirit. There is even a table reserved nightly for his spirit - on which you can dine.

You then will arrive at the LaLaurie Mansion, made famous in American Covent, and once owned by Nicolas Cage. You will hear the horrific story of the sadistic Delphine LaLaurie and the haunted spirits of the enslaved humans who became victims of her torture.

And lastly, you will hear the story of the Axman, who terrorized many in the Italian-American community of New Orleans, and would spare lives whenever jazz music was being played.

  • I honestly come back to this video once a month because Sandy is just that good of a storyteller. Hoping and praying for another video from her soon! 😁
  • @MrMireyacon
I recently did the tour and really enjoyed the guide's enthusiasm that she demonstrated when she shared the stories. It was a smaller group which made it easier to hear over the hustle and bustle of the city. I felt bad at the end when several people left without paying. I feel that if you are going to go on a tour and enjoy and experience, then you should contribute, we all gotta pay it forward.

LOVED the storytelling! I could have listened to Sandy all night. I'm a tour guide in Boulder CO and I completely get what Sandy is saying about the sensationalism of horror in the media predisposes ghost tour guests into thinking they are going to see a ghost wielding a knife on every corner. The expectation on ghost tours is set way too high because of the media. I'm an historian and storyteller and I love just telling the stories and the creepy. I don't need the drama and the gore. Thank you so much for creating this video!

Only a little under 3 mins in and I already ❤️ Sandy's rationale for drinking in the streets!!!🙈🤭😄😁😆😅😂🤣
  • @davidgori4500
Great stories. Sandy is more historian than tour guide. Top notch.
  • @tammydaniels170
Absolutely love Andrew, Robi, James, and now Sandy! I had never heard the “Black Hand” theory to the Ax Man Murders, found that to be very interesting. Thank you all!

After going on a ghost tour at night, the city has a whole new feel from that point on.
  • @facehunter504
I just started working at a restaurant in the Quarter and I love going to work seeing the city every day.. this place is crazy haunted, growing up if you didn’t know someone that’s house was haunted then you just didn’t know enough people. I’ve had a few experiences myself.
  • @exoduskamman1413
It blows my mind that there were survivors found in the Lalaurie house and still ‘nobody knows’ what happened?!? Why didn’t anyone just ask the people who were there? It speaks volumes about how little their testimony meant at that time. Nobody thought to freaking ask them what happened, or thought it valid enough to write down?
  • I've been going down a virtual rabbit hope with this channel all day. What amazing videos this channel has!!! How did I not know about this channel before? I'm sharing all over the place now! Love & blessings to everyone who leads these tours. You are ALL amazing! 💜🙏💜
  • Her theory of what New Orleans is all about is right on point!!! I adore the Big E, always have, even visiting as a child. My parents loved the city as well, we visited often!
  • @DJTeddyJetts
Omg I was just in New Orleans last week and Sandy was one of our Uber Drivers!!!! Wow!!!
  • @jamesr1703
1:30 "Something's lurking around the corner." Hell yeah! NOLA is dangerous!
  • @sherilumley5498
The first night I'm in a new place I always do a historical ghost tour because it gives me an overview of the city and then I can deceide what things are a must see while I'm there! When I was younger I went for the thrill factor, but then realized it's always a great 'first night' thing to do.
  • @toddgiaro7657
Sandy it’s so good to see you! You’re with Andrew, who is Mr. New Orleans to more than a few people. Thank you guys for giving us your city.
  • I had a paranormal experience while staying at the Dauphine Orleans. I woke up in the middle of the night to children chanting.
  • @astoldbyashe
Anticipated this! Your Nola Free Tours by Foot Team are absolutely amazing! Love the chemistry, the perspectives, and the knowledge of the topics both truth, false, and debunking. You all rock!🖤⚜
  • @gretagunnar8723
This was amazing! I'd love to see a Vampire Tour in the future!
