I applaud Honda for actually engineering the V6 to be 50% cleaner. I'm so glad they didn't go the lazy route and throw the 2.0L turbo on there to quickly meet emissions.
  • Absolutely bonkers that they didn't put a 4 cylinder turbo in it and kept N/A V6 instead. Love you Honda!

Love how you guys let the engineers and designers talk about their product.
  • Love how whenever they're talking about larger people mover vehicles, it's always phrased as "towing your little bastards" around and it makes me chuckle every time (I have kids myself.) Been eagerly waiting for their review on the new Pilot as it's the top car our family is considering. Great video, as always. That removable middle seat in the second row to make two captains chairs is a real game changer.
  • This extra truckiness will do well on the next Ridgeline. I’m pretty surprised with the lack of turbo and hybrid systems, but I’m all for it.

It certainly looks better than its predecessor, and as a Honda owner, I appreciate that they've retained physical controls in their newer models. No, they're not the flashiest brand out there, but they deliver a comfortable, reliable and surprisingly enjoyable driving experience. Nice job again, guys.

Thanks for this video!!! My wife has had 2 generations of Pilot. My favorite was the first gen, she loved the second gen and both agreed to skip third gen. We were actually planning to buy a Highlander; after seeing this vid we both know we are going to buy this. By the way, this is the first time my wife watched a Savagegesse video and now she understands me better (couldn’t figure me out after 14 years of marriage 🤷🏽‍♂️).

I appreciate these recent videos being offered in HDR. The camera work keeps getting better and better
  • @theMLBfan
Absolutely love how the video cuts from you customizing your future E-wife straight into the interview with the Honda engineer. 😂

Awesome review. Thanks for not being just another ‘showroom’ like review like tons of wannabe auto-review tubers out there.

37s to get to the Pilot review. With this speed, I might be able to outrun the IRS

Friggin' love when Jack says "osso" and "variant". Always my favorite parts of SG videos.
  • The section about safety at 11:00 is a great segment that doesn't get talked about often, ESPECIALLY by other channels. With GMC Hummer being 9k lbs and able to go 0-60 in 4s, you just HAVE to build vehicles with better crash safety in mind.

The new V-6 sounds great. I'm sure it will also last forever like most Honda NA V-6 engines. While I love 2 litre turbos for small cars, a V-6 for a larger vehicle like this is almost mandatory. Another Savage review.

Yes finally the new Pilot! Absolute win for Honda! As a 2nd gen owner, they finally brought it back to its roots and this indeed a return to form And I love how they just kept it stupid simple and didn’t even downgrade the engine they kept the V6 which shows if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it Easily the one to get in the non-premium crossover/SUV 3-row market the best has returned and now I want one badly

Telluride and palisade have been the “media darlings”. This is a big endorsement.
  • @crashbomber
Excited for the next Ridgeline if this is that good.
  • No turbo and this is a huge win for Honda. I am glad they did not go on turbo train like everyone else. That's why I'll take pilot over highlander
