Possibly the best story of a mans life on the internet. Well done sir, well done

Just junked our family’s 2003 Honda Pilot from a transmission failure. Had 229,586 miles on her. 20 New England winters and it never let us down. Thing drove like a fat pontoon boat but we were incredibly intent and loyal to that thing throughout the 20 years. Go Honda.

I drove around town from dealership to dealership and I sat in a Telluride, Palisade, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Volvo, Infiniti QX60, Lexus Tx, and never even thought of a Honda. Ever. I happened upon this video and something clicked. The next day, I drove to the Honda place and two days later, I took home a Pilot Elite. I absolutely love it. Your review was spot on.
  • I spent over 35 years in automotive world at the dealership level. It would always amaze me that a 10 year old 7 Series with 150k miles was worth less than a 10 year old Camry with the same mileage at the auction.

Mark is being too real :) I can see the joy slowly leaving Jack :)

The humor, personality, and practicality you guys deliver is what really put you over the top. The quality is also unmatched but I love you guys for the character you bring to the channel.

That "driving depressions" story hit me a little too close to home. I traded in a 2005 Mitsubishi EVO for a new 2007 Honda Pilot when I found out we were expecting our first kid. Here we are in 2023... not only do I still not have a fast car, but I STILL have the 2007 Honda Pilot which I will be giving to that same first child now that she has her driver's permit, and we replaced it with a 2023 Honda Pilot Elite. lmao

I drove BMWs for years thinking this is what I need. Got so tired of the cost of ownership and reliability issues. Traded my 2016 X5 for a 2023 CRV ST and couldn't be happier. Some wonder why I "downgraded" but it isn't that at all—it was a priority shift in my life and realizing what is important. A solid, dependable, practical vehicle just makes a lot more sense to me now.

This channel has reached a new high with Mark having a real meltdown about a hypothetical man's wife cheating on him while he drives through a roundabout at a completely unreasonable speed. Keep it up fellas!

Here I am, sick as a dog and exhausted from having not slept a wink last night, and I'm laughing my ass off at the "driving depression" segment. Thanks, Mark. I needed that this morning.

Haven't had a laugh that good in a long time. Problem is it all rings true. Great work - as always. I've owned Hondas for over 50 years. I can afford anything my heart may desire at this stage but I keep on coming back to their practicality and reliability. Keep doing what you do and Thanks!
  • I watch many car review channels but value your opinions above all else. Appreciate the honesty and candidness of your reviews. Videos like this are exactly why.

As a young dad, that conversation during the drive is realest thing I've ever heard..
  • @practicaldriver
Savage Geese with the most honest takes! My favorite auto related channel by far. And I'd rather own the Honda!
  • I’m 40, single, happy and no kids. After watching this video, I will continue to be single, happy and no kids. Thanks Savage!

This is a big reason why you all are my favorite car YouTubers. You talk about things like this. You all are looking out for consumers.
  • @CeeJay591
Mark and Jack never cease to amaze - one of the best car reviews I have ever seen on YouTube, AGAIN. Went from Founder to Executive Class support.
  • Okay seriously, this is my favorite series on this channel. MORE MORE MORE! I was in tears with the storytime segment. Excellent job haha.

I’ve got a 2014 MDX with 130,000 miles. I love it. It’s the best all around, most practical, most comfortable, most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. Under the skin we all know it’s a Honda. I see all the same benefits in this new Honda Pilot, nice!

As I sit on my porcelain throne, I know it'll be a good day starting out watching another Savagegeese video
