I enjoy creating and sharing nature designs, but there’s often a perception that they’re always expensive. Although that’s the case in some instances, it’s not the norm for me. DIYing, working with what I have, and buying things on sale help me do things cost-effectively. In this one, I wanted to share how it’s possible to make a paludarium of all things with minimal materials, simple techniques, and stuff from my yard. Enjoy!

It was awesome being able to get outside again to collect materials and I think this one turned out great! Probably one of the best examples yet of what's possible simply using things found in the yard (or on the side of the road lol). What do you think? Let me know and have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

Thanks for sharing this video. My wife of 36 years passed away 12 days ago and I'm lost still not finding my way. Your videos are peaceful.

I don’t know who’s more impressed, me or the deer 🦌
  • @HomemadeEcosystems
You have some very cool millipedes in your backyard! Maybe you can make a video on the ''terrarium animals'' you can find there

One of my most favorite parts about your videos is showing the trial and error periods. It’s really encouraging for someone like me who tends to give up when things don’t turn out like I had planned. Great content 😊

projects like this are what keeps me coming back - massive flash 8ft tanks etc. have a wowo factor but the small things anyone could do always look great in your hands

Other ppl have said it, but I love that he puts all his ideas in the video, especially the ones that didn't work as intended.
  • @LifeinJars
Really nice how much detail you're able to fit in such a tiny space.

I love these kinds of videos where you build using a budget.

The "that ain't going nowhere" outfit and joke was so unexpected 🤣 had to give it a few replays. The scape came out great!

I really like seeing the waterfall. Your usual drips are cool, but seeing the water just fall down the rocks is lovely as well. Great build as usual 💚

The zoom in on the deer cracked me TF up each time 🤣🤣🤣

I have a millipede that looks just like that,. Along with some tiny snails and a cute little slug. They came in with some of my plants 😊. I miss this part of living in Minnesota. Most of these are not available in my area of Arizona 😢, so I have to order. I love your projects, they are always so cool😊

The first video of yours I ever saw was the Free Terrarium build. This makes me feel a lot the same way — an inexpensive, accessible way to bring nature indoors. I'm so glad you shared this with us!
