Exactly how I teach my son. Addressing everything done with less than max effort, but high praise for doing it correctly. Kids respond to feedback, let them know you're constantly watching them and they will respond with consistency.

Reminds of the time, after my kids first youth football game, I took him straight to the middle school and made him block me for two hours. Message being, if you're going to play this game, you're going to play with effort on every play. 10 years later he was an all conference guard at only 5'8 with offers from several DII schools. I couldn't be prouder of him. He maxed out with all god gave him. All you can do.
  • Much respect sir! It’s great to see fathers stepping up and showing their sons how to be a man!
  • Dad, the way you corrected yourself when you realized the sun was in his eyes. You apologized, acknowledged your mistake, and offered to fix it. Then you went on with the program. Its a small thing but it shows our young men that we live what we teach. From a dad to another: excellent job man.
  • Your parenting is textbook. Mine is exactly the same. Regardless if that young man becomes a star or not you have given him the opportunity and the tools to thrive in the world. I applaud you sir and I wish your son all the success he deserves.
  • This is my boy first year playing tackle. & this video is helping me because I’m a single mother and I don’t know the first thing to help him with besides taking him to the practice right now.

Kids gonna grow up and say man I can't believe I used to act like this. Thanks for pushing me

Great parenting sir, that's how leaders are built. All starts with morals, ethics, and God. God bless ya sir, you and your son will be in my prayers from this day forward. Semper Fi, Hank Seay III

I just started doing this with my son as well. But I noticed if you hype them up more and make it fun. They’ll fall in love with the game faster.

Love this as a first time coach and son playing k-1. Your boy slowed up in the first drill, as mine did. Keep reinforcing follow through the drill Give the boys props too and what they did right is very important. Positive reinforcement.
  • I love that you're pushing him and I wouldn't ever suggest not pushing him, but back it up with just as much encouragement and instruction. I coach kids and adults and it doesn't matter the age, too much of either and you won't get the most out of them. Great job though!!!💯
  • Let that kid be a kid.. you have 12 years of grow .. good coaching pops .. teach him all the mechanics with football speed and track speed . Build ups as far as half full and quarter speeds .. side line to sideline speed track and chase and adrenaline speed.. blessings to yours

Never hit the subscribe button so fast. It's my son's first year in tackle and he's been slacking and coming in middle or last, I've been trying to think of ways to help him and this approach is amazing. Yours son's glow up sir is 🙌🏼👌🏼

As a life ling football player who grew up without a father wishing I had one, this is not how you do it. Great job trying but your son will end up hating football because of the way you're training him. I'm a head coach who has never lost a game in 3 seasons. My son is the best player in the league. I train with him almost every day. The difference is he thinks we are just outside playing having fun. Your son is hating every second of this. You can play fun games with him he'll enjoy and want to go do with you that will be way more beneficial to your relationship with your son and for his development on the field. Start playing with him and having fun making him better. You look like a great father. Keep it up and make it fun for him!✊🏾

I used to get upset with my husband for being like this with our son but guys, hard work pays off!!! He’s the fastest on his baseball & football team. Every day, he does some form of endurance training. If not, before going to bed he runs up & down the stairs 10 times. Ppl always say let kids be kids but when they’re older, those same kids will say I wish I had someone to push me when I was younger. You’re a great father raising an amazing, smart, athletic young man!
