For those wondering it cost more because its a mature plant. I too have a 6 inch tall one I got for 30 dollars. Its price, while ridiculously high, is reasonable.

This is a very mature and healthy looking plant. So yeah, it can be pricey. Yall need to stop comparing your little 12 inch box store purchase with this beautiful specimen.

So... Did all the propagation worked in the end? The plant mom is absolutely stunning
  • It's one of my very favorite plants!! That one is so big and so gorgeous! She did an excellent job growing that beauty! Great idea to propagate it! 💚🪴
  • What a great video. That plant was incredible and I hope all the cuttings took. I liked what you said at the end, about gentle change, with community support. Thank you. From Australia.
  • I was nervous at first, but I bought a Monstera and kept it a while, but it kept getting bigger. So I got past the anxiety and propagated it. I was very successful. I turned it into four beautiful plants. They are beautiful. I would love to be able to find one with the spots on it. That was beautiful and I’m sure everyone that they propagated will do wonderful. I use special monstera plant food for this plant. Thanks so much for sharing.🥰.. by the way.. the cost of my original plan was around 20 dollars…which I thought was a great deal.👏🏽👏🏽

I have a huge one like this, that I had planned to propagate a couple years ago but could never bring myself to cut it. It's growing a baby now, and I keep planning to cut it, but I just can't.

Just bought a Thai constellation today! It’s in a 4” pot, about a foot tall, has 6 leaves(no fenestrations yet, but BEAUTIFUL variegation) for about $68, which is about how much I saw it going for online. Only plus to waiting to buy it in person is I didn’t have the risk of it dying during shipping, and I can actually see and pick the exact one I wanted. I can’t wait for her to grow huge. I wonder if the price will ever drop for these beauties
  • You can value it wherever you want, but it's only relevant if somebody is actually going to pay that much for it.
  • Wow here i see them on the road, lucky for me i live in PR. I have the green one and its big like that, the varigated see them on the Yunque.

Glad I found your channel. New subscriber.

It’s not worth $5000. The whole plant trend and all these “influencers” have ruined the plant market.
  • Overall,a very easy plant to propagate...it's size is the only thing that makes it a bit clumsy 👍

For anyone not believing the price, it's true (or at least was true in the recent past). Variegated plants grow slower due to less green chlorophyll in their leaves as compared to a non variegated version. Slower to grow means less plants to sell = skyrocketing prices because of demand. Now with so many more people propagating plants and TC, prices don't stay too high for too long anymore. I've seen Thai Constellation's at this massive size for sale at around $900-$2500 AUD depending on level of variegation! and their prices are coming down every week as more and more people propagate and sell them. Basically, if you have patience...you'll never pay more than a few hundred dollars for any plant. You'll just have to wait until a new craze plant comes into market like they do every fkn day now it seems, lol. I have a very extensive and rare plant collection that I've collected for a fraction of the 'intended' price... If you know, you know and your wallet loves you 😜

It will only cost you around $200-300 in southeast asian market.
