1,5km swimming, 40km cycling and a 10km run - welcome to the Men's #Triathlon at #Tokyo2020 where Norwayβs Kristian Blummenfelt won gold following a three-way battle for the title.
The Norwegian, who was in fifth position after the 1,500m swim and 40km cycle legs, finished in a time of one hour, 45 minutes and four seconds. Behind him, Alex Yee of Great Britain won the silver in the Tokyo 2020 swim-bike-run event for Great Britain's sixth Olympic medal in triathlon. And New Zealandβs Hayden Wilde claimed the bronze for New Zealand first medal of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Relive the full competition!

Ironman consists of 3.86 kilometers of swimming, 180.25 kilometers of cycling, before it all ends with 42.2 kilometers of running (full marathon length). Norwegian Blummenfelt , 2021 Olympic triathlon champion , completed the Ironman competition in Cozumel, Mexico in 7 hours, 21 minutes and 12 seconds, setting a world record. Let this sink inn!!
