SNOWED IN! - In England? Really!

After leaving Aviemore in the last video we once again experience being stranded. This time in Ambleside in the Lake District. A major localised snow storm, brought the town of Ambleside and surrounding area to a standstill as traffic was unable to move due to the depth of the snow. We took an early decision to stay put where we enjoyed the snow, but struggled to get water from frozen pipes and ran out of gas in our attempts to stay warm in the van.

Despite the conditions, we managed to get laundry done and enjoyed a pub lunch before leaving early in the morning navigating past the many abandoned vehicles.

This is episode 102 in a series of videos cataloguing our post retirement adventures. We are Kath and Sue and we are travelling the UK with our two dogs Archie and Fudge and living full time in our Burstner Elegance Motorhome. We have given up conventional living for a new van-life, enjoying the freedom of the road and plenty of time outdoors taking in the beautiful countryside the UK has to offer.

Lovely area and nice to see some snow ❄️ ❄️ Getting Calor Gas has been difficult so your right Electric hook up if possible.

Hi, I just found your channel and look forward to binge-watching while I make things to show on my channel. You ladies are living the life I wanted to live but my body had other plans and I just sold my RV. Broke my heart. never got to go full time and closed my RV travels YouTube down. So now I will live my dream through you and others doing it. Live every single day to the fullest and go as long as you can because you never know when the Golden years will reach up and slap you down. But never give up!!!

Another lovely vlog-those cross climate tyres will be getting a good test. Plugged my van in at home overnight when it was cold last week it ran up around £10 on my home smart metre - camping in the Peak District this evening and glad of EHU! Look forward to seeing where you end up next - Sharon
