A run by with F7A / B locomotive consist leading up front. In the middle is a GP20 providing some middle assist power for this long train.
With the Woodland Scenics Grand Valley layout kit having a crossover piece, this is the longest possible train one can make before the head would collide with the tail at the crossing. With the steep grade and tight 18 inch radius curves on the layout, at least two locomotives are needed to pull a train of this length. Three is more interesting so enjoy these New York Central HO scale models pulling mixed freight and an extra caboose.

    Outstanding Tom!! What a great look at your layout, it's really coming along nicely. Nice looking compliment of locos and cars. I especially like the last caboose with the red light, looks amazing. Nice work!

    Wow you have a nice layout. We just got a German N scale layout that someone was throwing away. It's pretty simple but also cool at the same time. Is Stobe the Hobo hiding in your layout somewhere?
