1971 Mercedes Benz 300SEL 3.5 Part 2 - It runs!!!!

I was able to get my recently purchased and non running 300SEL 3.5 running using an ignition diagnostic box that's used for testing. After the video, I was able to get it running using the coil (you'll notice that the there was a wire not connected at the coil).

I also found the suspension air compressor which is located on the passenger side of the engine across from the a/c compressor.

The air suspension compressor is located on the RHS lower under the alternator.. you will learn a lot in a short time.

Hi Ali, I remember you from one of the Mercedes forums , cant remember which. I recall pictures of a 6.9 with AMG wheels. We have similar taste in cars Jaguars, Mercedes,,,etc. I sold my 6.3 and 6.9 last year because it was going to be more than I could handle. I still have a 1968 W108 280S (same color as your 3.5), 1989 560SEC, 1997 R129 SL600, and a 2004 W215 CL500, my daily driver. BTW I need to replace the p/s cylinder head on the 560SEC. If you have a good one or know where I can source one for a reasonable price please let me know. I am in Houston.
