I just loved growing up in the 60's, 70's, & 80's. We had all kinds of music like this NEW WAVE.

Any time this song comes on the radio I cannot turn it off. It's a true classic. Most kids nowadays probably know it from PITCH PERFECT rather than THE BREAKFAST CLUB.

The genre would be considered post punk. This band is a rabbit hole y'all ought to visit. This is from their middle years and is their biggest hit. But if you want to hearvtheir best work, listen to their first 6 or 7 albums, particularly New Gold Dreamn which is a musical masterpiece.
