  • Hi Claudine and Darlene, What a wonderful nurse Richie was for Darlene, and such a blessing! I'm sorry that you may have to wait a good while for the appointment with the surgeon, but we will just think positive that he can help her. Claudine, thank you so much for keeping us updated, and for all you do.
  • Hi Claudine 👋 first off, thank you for updating us about your mom. I'm sorry that she didn't receive the best care she deserves. As an RN, there is nothing that pisses me off more than a nurse that's lost all sight of compassion (if he had any to begin with). Some just look at the job as just that, a job. Those types of people have no business being called a nurse. I would have made a nice little complaint about him. Regardless, I'm so glad that Darlene had better nurse care for her before she was discharged. I tried to read her MRI results, but I couldn't get my phone to be cooperative. If she has spinal stenosis and severe arthritis that's causing compression on the C thru T nerve branches, there should at least be a procedure called a nerve block that can be done to alleviate pain. Steroid injections are also an option that I've heard has been effective. Unfortunately those are procedures that are not a "one and done", yet procedures that need repeated after several months. One would think she would at least be a candidate for one or the other, if not the surgery. I personally have an L3/L4 compression that presses on my spinal cord. Whereas Darlenes pain is more cervical/thoracic causing arm pain, mine is lumbar causing pain and weakness in both of my legs. I have a repeat MRI on the 22nd and I'll probably be having a nerve block procedure, well hopefully. Please tell her to hang in there. At least the cause has been determined and there are solutions out there. I'm glad she was able to be discharged and released from awful hospital food lol. We all know you're a great cook, Claudine. Not to mention a wonderful daughter. Take care, be blessed, and have an amazing day, all of you XO 💛❤️💛❤️💛

Hello Claudine and Darlene! Thanks for the update on your mom. Sorry to hear she didn't get the best care she deserved. That's good her day nurse was compassionate. Hopefully surgery will relieve her pain. Take care. Hugs 🤗🤗🤗

I'm so glad Darlene is able to come home today. Unfortunately, when I pause the screen the YouTube overlays(?) interfere with completely reading the "Impressions" portion which sums things up. Shout out to Nurse Richie! In the meantime, was the back opening gown easy for your mom to feel dressed. The only thing I can think of that might add to her comfort while she's waiting for the surgeons evaluation is to possibly alter her clothes so she doesn't have to raise her arms above her head to put her clothes on.

Hi Claudine, Darlene and sweet family! I’m so happy that finally they know the cause of her pain. I just hope that they will have a procedure that will ease her pain and I’m sad to hear about anyone being or mistreating Darlene….simply uncalled for. At least she got a better nurse that was more compassionate with her. We know what a great cook you are Claudine. You’re such a wonderful daughter and so good to your parents. I hope everyone has a very blessed day ❤️🤗
