Prince Rogers Nelson: ‘Every song was either a prayer or foreplay’
By Lisa Respers France and Eliott C. McLaughlin, CNN

Prince Rogers Nelson’s music transcended genres and generations. There were songs you could sing every word to, ditties that drove you to dance and ballads so poignant in their descriptions of love and life that anyone could relate.

Simply put, not that anything with the mercurial musician was simple, Prince had more hits than most musicians have songs in their catalogs.

Here's a Prince story: A guy I know was in a restaurant and noticed Prince, not wanting to bother him for an autograph he asked a waiter to tell Prince that he would pay for his meal, the waiter came back and said Prince said thank you- but no thanks. Prince shortly left. When the bill came for his own meal the waiter told him it was already paid for by Prince. What a low key class move. RIP Legend.

Prince has the type of silent confidence I wish to have one day.

I AM 82 YEARS OLD AND LOVE PRINCE MORE TODAY, THAN YESTERDAY! I WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN ONE DAY!
  • Prince and Michael Jackson. We had two unique human beings and unparalleled talents, at the same time. How lucky were we ?!

Larry King has been in his eighties since the eighties Edit: RIP Larry King, great man. But WTF HE WAS ONLY IN HIS EIGHTIES? Kinda makes my joke redundant ngl
  • The world seems a little less cool without Prince walking around in it...
  • One of the greatest electric guitarists of all time. God he could shred. I remember the day he passed and everyone I knew was mourning him. I love when the whole town of Minneapolis was colored purple during the Super Bowl halftime tribute to Prince. Awesome. Game. Blouses.

Prince was so smart. He didn’t rush an answer. He chose his words wisely. Gotta love that. Gosh, I miss him!

I would NEVER let my girl around prince. Not even his damn body in the casket. Rest in peace to the only man who can take your girl in high heels.

I don't understand how a straight talker can be deemed unusual. The man said what he said. He was just hypnotic and intelligent... he was an original and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Prince kinda had it all, looks, talent, intelligence, kindness, strong work ethic, friendliness, fearlessness and brilliance.
  • Here we see two men that were at the top of their respective professions sitting across a desk and having an incredible conversation. Beautiful.

Every time I look in his eyes it's like he knew a secret people didn't.
  • PRINCE is so REAL! He runs the interview with his Truth, not the media's.

Sadly lost far too early, but he lives on through his musical genius. Legends never die.
