Inside Apple's Insane $5 Billion Headquarters.

Costing a total upwards of 5 Billion Dollars, the Apple Headquarters is one of the most expensive buildings on the planet. The Building took 8 years to finish with over 5 years spent on just its construction. The building was designed by Jobs himself and features a design like no other. Let’s take a look at just what this building has to offer.

General Information

Named “Apple Park” The Apple Headquarters is a sight to behold. The building covers an area of 176 Acres and surprisingly over 80% of it has been dedicated to green space. The main building is officially called the ring and for good reason since it’s well in the shape of a ring. In the center of it is a lush green park. A park inside Apple Park.
Apple Park might have a super futuristic design but plans for it’s construction were actually made back in 2006 by the Apple Founder Steve Jobs.

notice that they only use "glass" and "wall" for naming , there are no "Windows" in the building

by buying an iPhone, I contribute about 300 screws to this building.
  • I am no longer a fan of the open office. I think it decreases productivity. I think a semi-open, where people have protected backs and other's can't look at their screens, plus being able to personalize their work space, would be better. Own rooms is even better though.
  • Jobs will pay your bills business will make you rich, but investment makes and keep you wealthy, the future is inevitable

this company started in a garage. imagine if they knew it would become THIS. wow. incredible stuff.
  • The complex is insane. I absolutely love the building and glass windows. If I had the option, I prefer allowing in natural light during the day. The building is gorgeous.
  • To whoever reading this , never stop chasing your dreams you can do it . Keep pressing and thriving you will make it ! Consistency is the key to achieve your goals
  • This is the most exquisite structure/property I have ever seen in my life. Seamlessly integrated with California native landscaping, every single nuance and facet was carefully considered and thought through. The building oozes both "extreme quality" and "Santa Clara Valley." It was designed for maximum transparency and natural light, while enabling the option of privacy in every conference room and office area at the same time. This property is insane.

If the whole project took 8 years, the stage was definitely designed and built in 10 minutes

Would be great if their commitment to sustainability involved not trying to get people to buy a brand new phone every year... or only making the batteries replaceable after they came under major fire for their irreplaceability. A company can apparently only care so much about sustainability when their entire purpose is to make money... still, cool building, and I'm glad it has solar panels :) Better than if it didn't!
  • I would have designed it in the shape of the apple logo with the roof completely covered with LED lights. Big enough to be seen from space. That would be a huge marketing asset for when aliens pass by earth

"Designed by Steve Jobs Himself" what actually happened: Steve: Hey guys how about a big ring with a garden in the middle? Architects: Yep, no problem we'll start designing the concept now
  • @michelcarlos01
This building was not designed by Steve Jobs as the introduction affirms. The design came from Norman Foster Architects with Jobs collaborating as a client. Foster caries a high tech and very detailed approach to their design, this aligns with apple's approach as well. They designed various buildings for apple elsewhere.

All the design credit goes to Steve. Poor architects worked on this amazing project.
  • @da-qz6li
'designed by Jobs himself' lol. now he's an architect & structural engineer? the guy still taking cred for other peoples hard work even in the after life 💯:elbowcough:

“And is a testament to Apple’s dedication to sustainable and eco friendliness” AHAHAHAHAHAHA funny joke 😂😂
  • I won’t be surprised if apple HQ takes off and leaves the earth for Mars or somewhere else in face of a cataclysmic event.
  • @LawDawg717
So this is why they charge $899 for replacement screens on your $900 phone.
  • @TEAM6USA
Sir Norman Foster designed the project and not Steve Jobs. I am sure Steve Jobs was a big part of giving direction of what he wants. A lot of hard working Chinese blood, sweat and tears on these glass walls. A round of applause for all sweat shop workers who made Apple so successful.
