Thank you for using my liveries in AMS2! :) Feel free to have a go when my F1 2024 Skinpack hits version 1.0 in a couple of weeks. :)

Is it the best, certainly not. But it does have it in the game without modding along with a ton of other car types which is pretty damn cool, plus it has the Nordschleife that you can take it on, and they recently added DLC for Le Mans and the LMDh category of cars, specifically the Caddy, the BMW, and the Porsche, along with newer GT3 cars (McLaren 720s Evo, Merc 2020 GT3 Evo, Porsche 992 GT3, and BMW M4). You do have to buy the track and cars separately but if you like the game it's worth it IMO. I will say though my recommendation is to go into game options > camera > movement and set basically everything off. High speed shake off, head movement 0, all the options down below to 0 and no to show helmet and helmet depth of field, but for use legacy head movement set it to yes. This makes the game feel much more enjoyable than it does out of the box. Next you want to go into the audio settings and turn down the tire volume as it's very loud by default and gives a false sense of sliding. In the video I saw all this from, 50 is the recommended value but you can go lower if you want. There's also a custom force feedback file on the Reiza forums that people use that is better than default one in the game and you can find that by just Googling "Automobilista 2 fullffb by JP" and that should bring you to the thread that has the file on it to download. The video I'm referencing is by Papryk that has all this info if you'd rather see it there instead of reading this comment. edit: One other thing, they don't have licenses to use some real track names so some tracks in the game are real tracks using fake names, such as Kansai is Suzuka and Azure Circuit is Monaco.

That was super fun to watch! would love to see you try and race in some of the older classic F1 cars and maybe even some stock cars, they're really fun to drive!

Quick tip, AMS2 fuel map is broken. All lean and medium do is limit full throttle (look at the telemetry) It wont save any fuel really as all its doing is limiting the throttle for you. Just keep it in rich for any scenario, it wont save fuel really, lift and coast is the only way to do that.

Your face when you felt the puddle of standing water! 😂 AMS2 is a great sim. Glad you like it too.
-
Automobilista 2 is amazingly immersive in VR, you should try it👌 Funny video btw, love it 😄
-
With Break Bias, Fuel Map and ERS mapped in your wheel you will like it even more.
-
You should give the classic F1s a go! especially the Hi tech: the 2 gens represent the 1992 and 1993 season when the cars were absolutely bonkers! Traction Control, ABS, Active Suspension, Launch Control, automatic gearboxes and even rudimentary DRS!

Set up a multiplayer race with some esports drivers…it looks a lot of fun
-
Nice video! it would be interesting to watch you drive the F-Ultimate at Nordschleife, as well as see you drive the other F1 cars in the game.

Keep going marcel!🔥❤️

The AI is a bit of a hit or miss in the wet, but the good thing is that Reiza are constantly tweaking things. IIRC, the most recent small-ish update adjusted their grip parameters for more believable wet weather racing, so depending on when you recorded this, it might be better already. Is it the best for modern F1? Probably not, as you cannot replicate a full season including all the rules, etc. But for the sheer amount of F1 content out of the box (that's classes for 17 seasons) including period-correct tracks, it's tough to beat.

You need a decent setup to make AMS2 viable. Tires and setup are paramount.

You know, this isn't Assetto Corsa. You'll get much better starts by applying the brake and engaging first gear while the red lights are on. Then when the green hits, drop the hammer. And as mentioned below, racing without VR doesn't do this title justice. It's a whole new ballgame and the best VR experience of any racing game.
-
mate you should do some classic cars races
-
Try VR... just saying 🙂
-
Marcel i have a question is that some kind of mod or if would buy the game this is what you would and some other tracks ?
-
AMS2 doesnt get tyre physics the best BUT it does get aero the best! the braking and high speed cornering has so much depth in AMS2
-
Nice video i play a lot of asm2 and you can see me in the leaderboard in timetrail if you want more info of the game let me know
