My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after 11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

I now have a shop space to keep me busy through the winters here on Canada's westcoast. Went from Van Life to VAN LIFE + SHOP LIFE !!!!!! Come join this crazy van life journey of mine. HIT SUBSCRIBE, trust me its gonna be a WILD RIDE.

I don’t understand why you didnt go over to them like an adult and let them know that there is a fire ban. Maybe they were not aware of the situation… running away and calling it in when you could have simply just reached out and communicated with them. They didnt look like they were interested in burning anything down… heck , they had their kayaks out. SMH

Thanks for protecting our precious resources!

Thankyou Chrome for doing the right thing! Terrible that these people feel so entitled that they ignored the signs! Hopefully, it will be followed up by authorities, and they will get a fine!

Thank you for doing that chrome jigsaw lake is a gem. We don’t need idiots like that burning it down.

You know the old saying, "If you don't report a problem, you're part of the problem". I'm glad you reported them.

Thank you so much for reporting those dopes having a camp fire. I had neighbors in a highly populated area the other year when we had 40 degrees in Vancity and they were burning their landscaping debris, in their backyard, with lots of sparks flying. Had to report them 3 times! The whole neighborhood could have gone up in flames. There's idiots everywhere and they ruin so many things for so many.

I am glad you reported them for the campfire. You absolutely did the right thing!

So happy you reported them ! I have learned not to directly approach people because of the crazy world we live in but back in the day I would have walked right over to them and let them know that there is a burn ban and put the fire out . What idiots 🙄! Hope you enjoy your night 🌙 😎✌️✌️ Smooches for Cruzie 💋 🐾 🦴

When you left the site, you backed into long dry grass and parked. With a hot catalytic convertor, you are just as likely, maybe more to start an unintentional fire. Just something to consider as it's something that we see on occasion.

You did the right thing. One day while I was working in a one of the national parks I was going around checking campsites during a fire ban. Went by a site and smelt smoke but there was no visible sign of a fire. Came back later with still the same thing and discovered that the campers were burning a fire just along a hill behind their camp site. They left the fire still smoldering under a tree, but not just under the tree canopy, there was a small area kinda dug out but it was surrounded by roots of the tree almost under the trunk. When the Conservation Officers and Warden came to inspect it they were livid.

Glad you reported them Chrome. Not only could they cause a fire, but they put others in danger when they have to go in to fight the fires. Thanks again!!!

As a fisherman, brotha it’s never too late to pick up a pole and start. Especially on remote lakes you generally don’t need anything crazy sophisticated like the over fished spots. I swear the fish learn what lures are and out in the sticks the fish hit out of curiosity. Give it a shot man! 🤙🏼
  • What a difference one day will make. I am glad you did what you did Chrome.

I cannot believe those people started a fire when everybody knows about the wildfires in the area. You've done well to report them
