This week, Paul Virzi joins me for a seat in The Wayback! (Nocturnal Emissions on Netflix, The Virzi Effect podcast, and Bone to Pick with Bobby Kelly). We get nostalgic about being raised by a single mom, switching schools as a kid, messing with foreign exchange students, sleepover class trips, and school bus hijinks. Then Ryan and Paul trade stories about sneaking into clubs in high school, and Ryan tells the origin story of the infamous Baltimore legend, Natty-Bo-Lee!

  • "Two mozzarella sticks" nearly got me pulling over on the way to work. Ryan's laugh is a blessing in this world.
  • @drsmith4806
When Ryan laughs it makes me laugh like hell & reminds me of times when me & friends laughed until it hurt & you teared up , couldn't breath.😂😂🖒
  • @adamD9697
“it was the opposite of Schindler’s list” that was the funniest story I’ve heard on a podcast in a while
  • @845H1R
24:35 Ryan, you killed me here bro, sent me dying! and the Jewish story at the end. Thank you Ryan!
  • @voidcenturyD
Virzi making a group of foreign exchange students sing the national anthem on the front lawn is a hilarious visual 😂
  • @joenestor1673
The story of Ryan throwing the eggs at the band kids was great😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
  • @leighleigh747
I'm dead "two ✌️ mozzarella sticks" I mean whoever it was that called and said that was kinda speaking the truth 😂😂😂
  • 41:00 I am a BIG fan of Ryan's laugh-- yet I have never taken so much joy from Ryan's laughter than from this story. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't hear two lines, so I watched it a few more times. Still laughing too hard, but I finally heard him over both of our cackles and tears. Absolutely amazing

Best part of the morning...besides waking up
  • @nateyP513
YES!!! I love seeing the retro toys added to the set Sickler. I’m a sucker for anything that pulls on my nostalgia strings, and F@#$!N He-Man and RubixCubes get me reminiscing. Now all you need is a MyPetMonster sitting on that lovely station wagon bench seat. Love the show & thanks ☮️
  • @nailsi-am5324
If you've never egged people you have no idea how much more satisfying it is than egging houses. Man this one brought me Way Back😅
  • @incog7894
I rarely comment but love the pod FFA,, I did 4 years in high school and use the stuff I learned in Ag class every day in one way or another.. I hate to admit it but it’s true. Other than geometry it’s the only value I got from high school.. thanks for one of the best podcasts in production. Truly
  • Crying laughing while at work about the two mozzarella sticks story t😅😅😅 I love you ryan your laugh is so infectious
  • @lmpolo3
The last 10 minutes had me crying laughing at work. Great job Mr. Sickler!
  • Got my honeydew hoodie, listening to everything Ryan sickler 😤🤘🏼 I love this man
  • FFA Alumni here! Most of us aren't farmers, and some like me don't even work in agriculture. However, I know of several Alumni members that did continue on to work in agricultural fields. I'd venture to say that I was graced with more real-world knowledge from my ag classes than all of my other classes combined. Students in FFA also have several scholarship opportunities, so even if you don't plan on being a future farmer, there's plenty of opportunity to get ahead in whatever you want to do. I still wish they'd change the official dress. I wanted to die any time I had to wear that national blue and corn gold jacket to school lmao
  • If Ryan grew up with his infamous laugh there is no way he would get away while laughing. Everyone would instantly know that it was him
