Featuring the voices of Academy Award®-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, the film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”). Jennifer Lee (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) executive produces—Lee and Allison Moore (“Night Sky,” “Manhunt”) are writers on the project. With original songs by Grammy®-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer/songwriter/musician Benjamin Rice, plus score by composer Dave Metzger.

"We've had generations of expectations, wondering why, wondering when. We're past dipping our toes in, we know it's do or die, it's sink or swim." I LOVE those lyrics! So powerful. So evocative. So heavy. Also absolutely adore a little later in the song when they all say together "what we do in this moment is defining." Ugh, CHILLS!!! Definitely a stand out part of the story and a Disney song moment that sticks with you after you leave the theater.

I love the reprise version when the people sing together. Also, King Magnifico is defeated and trapped inside the magic mirror just like Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs

This is when the movie came together. Does it have it problems? Absolutely. Does the 100 anniversary deserve better? Yes. But when I saw this in theaters, this is when I got that feeling. That feeling of magic only Disney can give.

Is it cheesy? Yes. But this is the kind of cheese I expect from Disney. It's basically the "Beat the bad guy with the power of friendship" trope, but it's in Disney song form. It's encouraging and empowering. God I love This Wish, both the actual song and the Reprise.

The reprise of This Wish was the biggest standout of the entire movie in my opinion. It was so powerful that it shows how overcoming doubt and tyranny CAN and WILL happen as long as people have a purpose worth fighting for.
