I’m a newbie to R/C cars and batteries. Didn’t know any of this information, batteries are $50.00 plus. A bit expensive to be buying new ones every few months because I didn’t know the correct charging/ discharging procedures. Great informative video.
  • Impressive number of comments in such a short time. That goes to show the amount of interest in this area about LIPO batteries. Good information for everyone to consider. Thank you for your expertise!
  • Informative video! But batteries, no matter what kind, should be recycled or at least be collected seperately, NOT dumped in a landfill.

Another great video. I've been an RC fanatic for close to twenty years now and it doesn't hurt for a little refresher every now and again
  • @thepaddychannel
Mmmmm, might need to check some of my batteries that are new but not used and bought some time ago. Thanks for the great video.
  • Fairly new to the rc hobby and after watching some horrific lipo videos your segment on the care and use of them is a godsend. Thanks for posting this great advice!!!
  • @JonJonsOutdoors
Newer to the hobby and had no idea about discharging the batteries!! They should put a warning on them so us Rooks can figure it out. I lost 2 sets until I figured out what I was doing wrong!! Thanks A Main for the great content as usual!
  • @thriftest
I like to think Brett talks like this when he's sinking beers with the boys at the weekend :) Great vid!
  • Thanks a lot for this. I'm getting back into r/c again and have never used lipos before. Nicad and nimh never needed any special treatment but hearing about lipo fires and puffing had me concerned. This helped a lot. 👍
  • @derekthrone6726
Damn Brett!!!!! My hats off to you, I didnt hear, see or kno that you planted a surveillance cam in my garage!!!! But now since you've posted all my mistakes for the rest of the world to know, I guess I shud start practicing safe-lipo-usage!!! Great vid buddy👍👍

Things have changed soooooo much since I got into the hobby back in 87. Back then it was all about Sanyo Red or Yellow. That's all you needed to know. If you could afford them you got the reds for stock and yellow for modified. They had different discharge rates. Now i'm like...WTH is going on? I just learned not to store charged Lipos. So I better get out there and drive my newly acquired SC10. Thanks for the awesome video. I learned SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!
