People don’t understand that this performance was tv-centered and his performance was meant to be cinematic and interesting for the fans watching at home.

I didn’t understand all the hate towards his performance. I really liked it, had a good time, I was dancing while wine drunk. People are really acting like this was the worst one ever and I’m like do y’all not remember Justin Timberlake or Maroon 5????
  • “the mic was on! not a lot of artists can say that” 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀

Hot take: he didn’t need a guest performer to make that performance amazing, there was mixing issues yes, that performance was really amazing. And it would be nice to see dua, daft punk, and probably Ariana. But not needed at all.

The Grammy's is a joke. This album might have been his best era and they just left Abel disappointed with NOTHING and even yummy got nominated. He deserved to perform at the halftime show since he was literally robbed by them. The Grammy's is getting worse over time, I have no hope for it anymore
  • I liked his halftime show. We knew it wasn’t gonna be Prince or Beyoncé or anything, but it did what it needed to do. He entertained us for a few minutes. People just come into it hating. My problem is they didn’t even pay him and he paid $7 million.

I really don’t understand the hate about this. This performance gave me chills and I felt so proud of him. If covid wasn’t a thing it would’ve been better but that’s obvious

I liked that it was just him. It can be hard to keep people's attention nowadays. There wasn't a second where i felt bored. He did an amazing job imo.

that moment with weeknd in the golden room- "mother, where am i"

The Weeknd don't miss. The theme, songs, costume design, and the use of the whole field were all executed well. I think he performed well even without guest star(s) and perhaps was even better without them.

I don't get how the same people who loved Justin Timberlake and Travis Scotts performance..... can sit here and bash a good performance that happened DURING A PANORAMIC!
  • @AlyPicon
also abel’s little smiles and winks he was just so happy the whole time😭i love him
  • @izzysem
The Weeknd is probably one of the only artists that has no misses for me
  • @Shilohdur4nn
some people seem to forget that we are in a pandemic and there were limitations with what he could do
  • @xogirl3
he did this for himself and his fans. and thats it. you can't never satisfy everyone no matter how good you are.

I liked his performance. I like that he didn't have a guest performer, like if he had Ariana perform with him I think it would have taken away from his moment. He's good enough all by himself imo. Its the first halftime show that I've looked forward to in a long time.

He put on a good show. The feeling and vibe were definitely there and he's a very talented singer and performer. Compared to some of the garbage of the past, this was really good, idk why so many people are complaining

The weekend did goooood. I don’t think he needed anyone to back him up. I would have been better to have a guest but he did it well by himself. I also loved the ending too. I’m was excited for him.

I loved his performance. He gave his best, I really don't know why people expect every artist to dance and make it even more dramatic. Fan or no fan, people got it. He paid 7 million from his own pocket and I think that this would go down in history as one of a kind.
