Man, this reminded me how much I want a release for the Amazon series red oaks. That show was canceled way too soon. I haven’t found a physical release anywhere outside of a season 2 promo disc that Amazon sent out

If there is no way too legally to get them (especially at a reasonable price) then bootleg is the only way.
  • I'd like to own stuff like Finch and army of the dead. Never had Apple + and don't want to pay for Netflix anymore. Finch if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it, great post apocalyptic scifi drama with Tom Hanks. I know discs are out there just haven't gotten around to grabbing them.

How do you recognize a bootleg, I just saw that in Spain it's practically only bootlegs.

Carpenter Brut is my favorite retro synthwave artist - a new subgenre credited to have started around the release of 2011's Drive film. Blood Machines is derived or expanded from his awesome music video Turbo Killer. In other music videos he used scenes from 70s and 80's slashers to build his own storyline of sorts, with corrupt preachers and psycho killers, even releasing one of the albums as a soundtrack to a non-existent film. 😁

The Valet is a remake of a Francis Veber film, the writer-director of many most famous, important, and fun French movies ever, mainly starring Pierre Richard, Gerard Depardieu, and Jean Reno (The Tall Blonde Man with One Black Shoe, The Toy, La Chevre/Unlucky, Fugitives, Les Comperes/CoFathers/'ComDads', Le Diner de cons/Dinner for Fools, Jaguar and many others). I think this must be 9th of his films, remade in English, the most I ever heard from any one director! Americans don't read subtitles, or learn other languages I guess... The Birdcage, Father's Day, Dinner for Schmucks, etc, all are remakes of Veber's films. The original La Doublure/The Double starred a very beautiful Alice Taglioni, and I wouldn't be watching this remake, if it weren't for Samara Weaving, my new favorite actress, thanks to her crazy killer roles in movies like Mayhem, The Babysitter, Ready or Not, and Guns Akimbo! It's still a very feel-good film, adapted to LA realities, nationalities, with some details changed (in the French movie valet was much younger, without a former wife, so it didn't look that out of place and depressing, and the store he was visiting was a bookstore, not a bike shop). Funny thing is half the movie is in Spanish, so you still gotta read subtitles, what was the point of a remake...😂
  • Is there anywhere to get more info on your film? I live in a nearby city to you, I've worked on crews before and would be great to help you out on a future project. Didn't know you were involved in production.

If a movie or TV series only exists on DVD and not on any higher resolution format, then I'm fine with the DVD release, I personally am not a resolution snob, grew up on VHS, so DVD is fine, I won't bother with Bootlegs if it's at least on DVD, plus at least its an official release. but those Star Wars unspecialized Bootlegs are a whole different story, the fact that they were only officially released on VHS is a reason I can agree with even though I have the VHSs of those.

Bootlegging movies that are in theaters or are getting a Blu-ray is dumb but movies that don’t exist anywhere else it’s no different than recording your movies off cable and having blank vhs tapes. I have a couple foreign ones that never had US releases. Haha Star Wars too many copies plus the de specialized I have the 4ks only, easily to make yourself. They are illegal to sell not make. A lot of people are complaining about Warner using cheap discs most of the HD-DVDs don’t work and people are saying their DVDs are going the same way. I was lucky that my copy of Dukes of Hazzard works.
  • I have been trying to find silkwood for years but the ones I find are around 100 US dollars. Not going to pay that.just wondered if you u have it and where you found it

I'll admit to having the True Lies bluray from Spain but it turns out it's a bootleg. I would like to acquire the SW despecialized or 4k remasters but don't have a fast enough internet and I would be nervous trying to buy it. I've bought pretty much every edition of the Original Trilogy as well. I'll try and watch those Lego Movies next time I have Disney Plus.
