  • I love that we live in a time where everyone else can visit these places, and I can watch from my comfy bed.
  • This didn't give me nightmares, just things to add to my bucket list.

I'm claustrophobic and have a fear of deep, dark water (but love water otherwise) and that basement pool looks amazeballs. ASMR-level relaxing.

Something incredibly spiritual & sacred about water. Being alone with it. Regardless of vast or narrow water or lighting. I think it resonates in our souls.
  • As someone who is massively introverted that basement pool sounds like a dream to swim in.
  • This didn't give me nightmares. This just reminded me i cant afford them.

I think the narrator was projecting his own phobias. I find that narrow pool really calming.

The claustrophobic corridor-pool at 13:43 kinda looks like you discovered a hidden level in Portal (except with water that isn’t acid). Love it ! I find something very intriguing about places that seem both abandoned and secret (even if they’re not really).
  • The real nightmare is that if/when you go, none of these pools will be anywhere near as empty of tourists like they are in this video.

  • Never in my lifetime would I find myself at any of these unique attractions. I'm just not the daredevil type. But I found myself unsettled watching this video, like the earth had disappeared from beneath me. I was riveted and enthralled the whole time. I loved it. GREAT idea for a YouTube post. I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
  • The basement pool to me looks amazing. I would like to just go there and swim back and forth and be alone and not afraid any more. Because me? I'm terrified of reality, humanity, the outdoors, deep water, too much space - basically the opposite of everything this pool offers. To me, it looks like a dream come true pool. It's actually my favorite by far, and if I ever get to build my own home (ha!), I would love a pool like this.

Scariest swim I've ever feared is going out in the gulf at night. No lights from shore or boats for miles. It's cloudy so no moon or star lights. Not able to see the water but feel it around you. And the cherry on top is knowing there are things in that water bigger than you. It's a creepy ride on a boat when coming in from an offshore rig.

As someone with severe thalassaphobia, pools that are over 5 feet deep already gives me nightmares
  • @hollis1440
I’ve been to Homestead in Utah. It’s so warm, quiet, and relaxing you could fall asleep!
  • I loved the interior pool, that was long and self contained. It looks so peaceful to me.
  • @KmiiVC
this went from pools, to natural pools, to waterpark tunnels

I’ve got a bit of a story. It starts 20 years ago when I was in Las Vegas back in 2000 during an Arizona/Las Vegas trip. I was 13 at the time. (I am 33 now) My family and I went to Wet N Wild Las Vegas (I think it’s now called Cowabunga Canyon). They had a capsule slide there similar to the capsule in the Dizzying Aqua Loop in this video. Well, when I was dropped through the trap door in the capsule, it caught me off-guard and I ended up getting airborne. Nothing ended up becoming of it while I descended, but you should’ve seen the lifeguard’s face when I reached the bottom. He was absolutely terrified.

My got dive certified in NEMO 33. I watched from the glass windows. There is a bar right outside with windows where you can drink a fine glass of Belgian beer while you ponder how nuts these Belgians are. This pool (having seen it with my own eyes) is truly terrifying. It's a no frills, straight, square drop going down 300 feet!! You run out of air or get low (even an expert) you're dead. Period. The thought alone had me gald to be fully dressed and outside having a beer.
