As a result of the Yanchep Line opening, the final special patterns remaining on the network were both removed, so on Friday the 12th of July, I set out with many other enthusiasts to ride on the last service of the scheduled Rockingham K pattern terminating at Rockingham and Perth PW pattern terminating at Perth Platform 9 after commencing at Whitfords Station.

    12 July was special occasion because it was also my 16th birthday and my first driving lesson. By the way it looks the B series lighting has had a refresh, similar to the refurbishment on the QR SMU 260 on Brisbanes rail network. Also just want to ask, why are they removing the K stopping pattern.

    Mark did u know that A Series on platform 6 at 13:21 was the 6 Car A Series. It put on butler desto that’s why I went to butler and then I saw it testing.

    okay mark, just checking these things about the yanchep opening the first service departs mandurah around 8:55 AM C series will operate from yanchep between 1-5pm (goin to railway museum after)

    Last services ever. I will be going to butler station today to farewell butler as the terminal station. Then I’ll see you on Sunday for the opening.
