"Wait, what kind of cake?" If I were a French peasant during the French revolution, that would have been me.
  • @rennor3498
Its kind of strange that 200 years ago cake was as expensive as a house and now days we can buy as much cake we want
  • @roguerebel66
Peasant 1: DOWN WITH THE QUEEN!! Peasant 2: DOWN WITH THE MONARCHY!! Peasant 3: wait! What kind of cake? (Punch)
  • Marie Antoinette : EATS CAKE Peasants : IT'S FREE REAL ESTATE !
  • @FruitzSaladz
The fact they skipped so much hurts me. But for child simplicity it’s fine.
  • "Sherman, don't you remember why I told you to stay close to me during the French Revolution?" "Because after the French Revolution, it's gonna rain?" "Close. I said after the French Revolution comes...The REIGN of TERROR!!!!" 😂
  • We started to review over the French Revolution in school and I had this in my mind all day. And the one line that has stuck with me since the first showing in theaters, “A cantaloupe? The lowest of fruits. Who dares insult me in this manner?”
  • @GDLocalKidnapper
3:09 A Cantaloupe? The lowest of the Fruits. WHO DARES TO INSULT ME WITH THIS MELON!?
  • Mr P: Because Sherman, during Marie’s reign, the people of France were exceedingly poor. Guy: you got any bread??? Guy2: No, I’m EXCEEDINGLY POOR
  • @22megaton29
Here’s a fun fact It is generally agreed upon that Marie Antoinette never actually said “let them eat cake” It was just a rumor

I kept pausing the video, mostly because I watched this video when I was young knowing nothing about the French Revolution. Oh boy- I remembered this movie so incorrectly
  • @yakutkarali5690
3:39 Why does the executioner have melons? Also I like how Mr. Peabody's escape all relied on luck.
  • The movie is fine as is,but peabody is so uncontrollably likable and inspiring that he alone makes the movie go from ok to amazing.
  • Are they just going to ignore the fact that there is a talking dog walking around in the Queen’s palace?
  • @grodkowski
At 4:58, he knocks the manhole cover down into the sewer. Manhole covers are circular so that no matter what way you turn them, they cannot fall into the sewer. That's an exceedingly smart dog to figure out how to do that.
