I don't know why but I really was convinced for a good bit of the film that he was a fakeout villain and he'd turn out to be a nice guy who was just too intense for his own good, and then I backed off on that and thought he was just gonna be a greedy exec who'd be discredited by the end. Then he legit attempted koala murder and my jaw hit the floor harder than Buster would have hit the pavement.
  • So when daddy wolf has anger issues and psychopathic tendencies he's a "great villain" but when I have them I'm "not supposed to be outside my cell" and "computer time is awarded for good behavior"

I think what I like about Crystal is that you don't really recognize him as the villain until he threatens to throw buster from the roof. The guy is the top producer in the entertainment capitol of the world in that verse. Of course his taste in talent is going to be ridiculously high bc he's seen it all.
  • I just love how at first he’s just a pragmatic jerk and completely turns psychotic when he discovers Buster lied.

This movie was actually pretty intense at times, such as the "what did I do to make you disrespect me" scene
  • @tylerross714
I love how Buster is willing to lie his way through things even though it nearly got him killed twice. He lies and cons for all the good reasons though, big heart and very smart.

I like how he has this Gru body build lmfao, I was hoping we’d get some history to his little trigger about humiliation, maybe he was bullied or something and this man obviously has some body counts stashed away somewhere. Great villain, much to work with

2:41: Y’all ever realize that in the movie you can see Porsha waving to her dad and then her expression changing from happy to sad, kinda shows how Jimmy neglects her
  • Almost every expression he has is like half a dozen memes waiting to happen.

He's a great villain and I hope his return on Sing 3, learning about how to deal with his anger because that final scene when Johnny's dad have him, he might have realize what a true family is and when people laugh at him at the end of the show, I admit I feel little bit sorry for him.

I find it hilarious that he's really evil only to get scared by that performer 0:22

He was a great villain! That part when he threw Buster off the top of the stage was so cool
  • @Matt561
I'm glad he didn't change his attitude when he saw his daughter perform, He seemed to be even madder.

its always so satisfying when the villain ends up being defeated by those who were once loyal to them. and I aprecciate how they didn't just make him a big politician-level person who doesn't actually care about music, but uses it to make money, instead making him someone who actually understands it.

If they make a Sing 3, I personally would like Buster's arc to be about him dealing with the trauma of Jimmy almost killing him. He has PTSD from the events in Las Vegas and he learns to deal with them by writing a new show that he himself stars and sings in, maybe even visits Jimmy in jail so he can move forward with his life. Because one of the things I really like about this films is how human it actually is. It deals with actual issues people go through in a very mature way, and I would like to see more of that if they continue with it. Plus, I would really like to hear Matthew McConaughey sing.

Ain't no way this guy lookin like Gru's fursona
  • Crystal was always afraid of other people humiliating him, but in the end he ended up humiliating himself

4:30 has to be one of my favorite, if not favorite joke from the movie, the timing and Jerry’s reaction really got me! The guard’s reactions are icing on the cake (they can’t be seen here thanks to the zoom in, but the wolf keeps looking while the cheetah turns away!)
  • This is one of the best villains created by Illumination. It's is really good to see the studio is going back it's roots.
