Jersey City's India Square is one of the largest and densest Indian communities outside of India. Or at least in North America! It is the highest concentration of Indian people per square mile in the US, rivaled by Edison, NJ. While Indian food in Edison, NJ is surely excellent, Edison is quite a ways from NYC! If you are based in NYC though, don't bother much with the Indian food in New York City. Just hop on a quick train ride to Jersey City for more authentic and much more expansive Indian cuisine!

Most Indian food in America is Northern Indian food, and consists of all the staples that you may have heard of: you know Chicken Tikka Masala, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and all the staples that people in the West are familiar with. However, JC's India Square also has a large selection of Southern Indian food, so it really is a diverse and authentic neighborhood!

Today though, we won't venture too much into unfamiliar territory. We will review a tried and true: the Indian buffet. These buffets tend to be very North Indian heavy in style, due to the saucy curries going very well as buffet foods. However, we won't be eating your typical Indian buffet in New York City, with dry chicken and overly sweet curries. We will be eating an Indian buffet in Jersey's largest Indian community so my expectations are high!

Head down to Oak Tree Road in Edison. 145 Indian restaurants with 46% of the population identifying as Asian Indian. The smells of the food through the area is just amazing.

Nice to see some indian food. I get plenty from some really nice colleages and you can really taste the time and effort that is put into these dishes when done right.

Hello, great review. Lots of love from New Delhi, India. I appreciate how you managed to eat Indian food in your own style. I would like to clarify a few things for the viewers. Indian curries and vegetable dishes are traditionally eaten with either bread called "Naan" or rice. The spinach potato dish that you tried goes really well with Indian breads. Indo-Chinese food is quite popular in India, especially in northern India. Dishes like Hakka noodles, chili chicken, and momos (dumplings) are something that should be introduced to Western people. I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos. ❤

I remember your OG video at that indian egg place! Possibly the most eggs consumed by a food reviewer in youtube history😂

Refreshing to see an Indian buffet. Looking for more videos in Jersey. I like your recent travel to Denver, hopefully you’ll travel to other parts of the US, such as California or even Florida or maybe the south like Georgia.

Wow I do remember you from a past video here. Oddly, I had a dream last night that I was at an Indian buffet, which I’ve never been, so maybe it’s a sign. Congrats on your channel’s growth.

Everything looks excellent! It so happens I'm going out for Indian tonight on the UES, now I'm looking forward to it even more! With your love of buffets, come out by me in Queens and check out Mizumi. Excellent spot with a great selection! Thanks for another great review!
