Lyrics:
Ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah-ah
In the villa of Ormen, in the villa of Ormen
Stands a solitary candle, ah-ah, ah-ah
At the centre of it all, at the centre of it all
Your eyes, your eyes
Ah-ah-ah

  • Man knew he was dying but instead of being afraid looked death in the eye and used him as inspiration for his final masterpiece. Absolute respect to this legend. What a noble way to go out. May he rest in piece

I keep coming back to this song. Genius doesn't need confirmation.

There will never be another David Bowie.

The man has even turned his death into a piece of performing art. RIP you powerful visionary.

no one can figure this man out, that is his allure.. He is just who he is.. cryptic and enigmatic.. no answers.. all this will mean what ever you want it too..

How he created this as he was dying is astounding!! Genius!

He never looked old to me, he always looked the same age, no matter what age he was. It was a shock to me when I heard he had died. We've lost one of the greatest musicians EVER.

He flat out said "You guys see me as a god, a spirit, an alien, inhuman, despite the fact that I'm as human as the rest of you. Thank you, but it's my time to leave. Someone else will come in and take my place. It's time we say goodbye." With just this one song. He came to peace with his past and accepted death with open arms. Truly a legend.

He stared death in the face, and created this. To me, it captures the feeling of accepting your own mortality perfectly. A true artist right until the end. Fucking inspirational

Its 2024 and all this time I have thought that this is just an aberration. A meaningless dirge, the king's new clothes, and I have ignored it. It is now my turn. I have got months left to live and I can't stop playing this. It somehow gives me comfort. Not hope because there is no hope but peace and acceptance. I don't understand it or how it works. There is no jolly song that I can hum or whistle but I can face what is coming with David's help and for that I am so very grateful.

Today, me, my dad and my younger brother went to the veterinary clinic to put the cat to sleep, because he felt bad, something with kidneys and some tumor, he was 18 years old, operations would only hurt him, because they are serious, and the chance that he would survive would be minimal, operations are expensive and there was no hope, a lot of money would have been spent and not the fact that he would have survived, and if he would He would have lived with a month and that's it, it was not worth it, so it was decided to put him to sleep, my father and I cried, hard, the cat went bad, faded for a couple of days, we said goodbye to him and went home. The cat has lived with me my whole life, I turn 16 tomorrow, have pictures and videos from my childhood with him. He was like a big brother to me. Thank you so much to David Bowie for his work, it's this song that keeps me sane for now. Listened to it and Black star by Radiohead as we drove there and realized that nothing lasts forever and everything has to be said goodbye to

If you ever feel sad, know that the earth is 4.35 billion years old, and you were born at a time to listen to David.

A deep, amazing album to conclude this genius’s life. He knew he was dying and decided to literally make a farewell album. So beautiful. Love Bowie.
  • @BEFREE3
Bowie did not die, just his body, his soul lives on in all of us
  • @tooniemama6959
What an incredible artist he was. His last album was very dark and very sad; this album was about the last chapter of his life. May God rest his beautiful soul.

It took me a long time to listen to Blckstar. I just couldn’t believe he was gone. It hurt to acknowledge that he had moved on from this world and i wanted to pretend that he was still here. But now im happy to listen to it because he lives on in our hearts. Each time we listen to him we are celebrating his life and his artistic achievements.

Eight years and it's still an absolute masterpiece of a song and music video.
