--------
Super Mario World is one of the most popular SNES games of all time. Its relevance in today's gaming culture cannot be understated. From its colorful graphics, to its smooth and satisfying controls, to its memorable soundtrack, and to its many MANY glitches.

Over the years, Super Mario World has had a wide range of exploits in order to do some crazy stuff ( tasvideos.org/2513M ). However, many of the glitches don't save any time in a speedrun. This TAS by IgorOliveira666 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/IgorOliveira666 ) aims to showcase as many glitches and exploits in this game as possible, without worrying about speed. Some glitches are so intense that they crash the game, necessitating a restart of the console.

glitch showcase TAS's are always so cool, there's not nearly enough of them

20 minutes in and Mario's riding a Chargin' Chuck on a pogostick. This is a quality TAS.
  • Things I've learned from watching this vid: 1. You can avoid death by going somewhere else 2. There are rare breeds of yoshi you never heard of 3. The wall is just another place to put your feet 4. If kick something enough magic happens 5. You can choose to die anywhere 6. Exits are merely a suggestion 7. Ghosts are weak to your face 8. Godammnit Luigi 9. Something's fishy about the P-switch 10. Anything can be anywhere with enough spinning

Forest of illusion 3 secret exit at 2:00:00 absolutely blew my mind. That was amazing! Wow!
  • I was unaware that Super Mario World was secretly a horror game this whole time.

This is quite possibly one of the greatest TASes of all time

1:00:36 The Speed Demon takes a moment to gaze upon you, the viewer, as your attention is his sustenance.
  • This is clearly a work of art, and an explained video would help me appreciate it all the more.

I knew a playaround TAS of this game would be good stuff, and this didn't disappoint. I just about lost it at 2:27:52, a glitch I'm just going to call "The Pipe Rim That Ate Chocolate Island".

As a former smw kaizo player and avid watcher of kaizo players, I recognize so many of these glitches! It still makes me go WTF over some of the stuff like Hammerchuck Yoshi though. Good show

We need bismuth to explain this one boys

2:20:22 was so unexpectedly nice in the middle of all the nightmarish glitches
  • @CazuBM
09:18 at this point, Mario can't even be blamed, Iggy just tripped and fell by himself.
  • 1:40 into it and I knew it was going to be good. 4:40 into it and I already know this is going to be a masterpiece.

Love the sheer chaos that ensues at 17:45 Edit: having now watched the rest of the video, this is the least of the chaos

It's not often someone uploads a glitchfest of this quality that goes for more than two minutes, much less TWO HOURS! I love this!
