Christmas Will Never be the Same

Publicado 2021-12-24
Hard thing to talk about. However, my mom died 10 years ago today on Christmas Eve from a disease called PKD (polycystic kidney disease). She was only 69. She was on dialysis for a few years but she just got weaker and weaker. She just wanted to go home. I got the call from dad around 8 pm that night. We knew it was coming but you can never be ready for something like that.

It's especially difficult since after she passed, it seems we never really got together as a family anymore on Christmas. I still have wonderful memories and that is how she will live on. She was a wonderful and kind person. She is sorely missed by me and many others.

Never take for granted anyone you love. Life is too short.

  • What a hard time to loose your mom. I love the sweet way your shared memories. I lost my mom at age 10. You were blessed to have so many years and it’s clear you know that is the case. She sounds like a wonderful mom. Mine has been gone for 35 years and I still long for her. She would definitely want you to continue in happiness and joy!

Sad to hear about your mom and how she died. My mom died when she was reaching 60. She died of an Intracranial bleed. She was fine in the morning but by afternoon she lost consciousness and died 2 days later. Still miss her. She had no health problems before that . Your story reminded me of my mom's death Christmas wishes from our side .
