There are so many shows that can be described as "celebrities playing games" so I wanted to take a look at some and try to figure out why they are so prevalent. Enjoy!

They need to do a celebrity Hells Kitchen. I See high listed celebrities who havent cooked in like 10 years get yelled at by Gordon Ramsey
  • The way Scott just stares at the camera after saying money going to charity is a con is probably the best thing I’ve seen all day
  • @tdrb42
Absolutely agree about when the winnings go to charity! Like yes, it's obviously great that charities are getting money, but it feels better somehow to watch someone who doesn't have money win a life-changing sum.

Seeing you in the Cramer Games was like seeing Jon Hamm on a game show.

10:42 The first show that came to my head as a primary example of this Pro is Taskmaster. One of its staples is showcasing how celebrities come across outside of their TV personas, especially when they have to complete bizarre tasks
  • @kristin122
Baby Scott is 8 months old already?!! My, time flies.
  • @HeisenbergFam
13:52 "famous people refuse to go away" truer words have never been spoken
  • As a game studies scholar I gotta say it really cracked me up to listen to Scott try to define what does and doesn't qualify as a game. Games and play are so notoriously hard to draw hard boundaries around what counts and doesn't count. Loved it.

11:52 - 💯 on the celebrities playing for charities being a con! Gives off the same feeling as when huge companies ask the customer to donate at checkout so the company can say THEY donated
  • @hedonology
Weird that they had Coleen, who creeps on teenage boys, and Seinfeld, who creeps on teenage girls, on the same episode of Jimmy Fallon Didn't know who you were referencing about the creep factor 😅

Scott’s videos with Space Aliens, the fair, and the art pieces across the roads have literally made me want to visit North Dakota.

My favorites of this genre are Taskmaster and a lot of what Dropout produces. You have people that have followings or well-known just doing goofy stuff. The shows use their charisma and improv skills and they naturally do really funny things
  • The thing about Name That Tune is you don't watch it to see the people playing. You watch it to feel good when you know a song faster/better than the contestant. As a show it's boring, as a game you play along with it's entertaining
  • @ethansak8171
You are probably my favorite YouTuber simply because you are kind, genuine, and an overall good dude. Talk about relating to celebrities, I’d love to have a drink with someone like you lol
  • @busdriverguy
When you have that feeling about someone that everyone likes and it turns out you were right the whole time is refreshing
  • @citonita2207
I had such a weak spot for watching Jimmy Fallon play games for a little too long, so I agree with all the points here. He's so competitive it can be hard to watch.. and yet so easy..
  • @VesaliusDarkAngel
dude.. Your videos at the end always have this nice warm comforting feeling. I am so glad you're here being so positive but in a realistic down to earth way that just brings sense back to the doom and gloom.
  • @kevinbattey1904
I like to believe every time scott gets sponsored by helix they send him another matress So he just has a room excusivly for the dozen matresses he wont use
