I just recently passed my 5-year anniversary with pixel art šŸŽ‰ so I thought itā€™d be a perfect time to dig out the very first piece of pixel art I ever made and see what improvements I could make after all this time!

The animation actually was very helpful since we don't really get to see your animation process

I like the way you've gone for blue hues for shadows rather than just darker versions of the main colour. I shall keep that in mind.

This is the definition of Minecraft youtubers saying: "I did a little work off-camera", and then EVERYTHING looks different. (But still good)

10:22 šŸ˜± I love the idea of having a single idea to revisit every year, like drawing a new Luke Skywalker. 2019's looked really good, can't wait to see what this year's will look like! I need to start waking up earlier to catch these videos at a better time

the reason I love pixel art is that you have to use your imagination and work with a limited amount of supplies. when drawing you can basically just. "draw" but here you have to think more strategically

When you said your first pixel art was in 2015 I said to myself, "Damn... I'm old." I started copying old tamagotchis and redrawing GBC Pokemon art in the late 90s and then started editing my own art over the style of the DBZ Legacy of Goku sprites. I haven't done pixel art in a while but alway still enjoy the process.

Watching you fix the animation at the end reminded me of some of the nintendo transformations in games where the character would cycle between frames for a moment before transitioning to the next frame then cycling between that one to lengthen the animation time of the transformation and make it look more intense, I wonder if that trick would look good in this animation too.

this guy really helps teach and give tips about pixel art, and his lessons help for beginners and experts! this particular video formed my style of bright yet soft colours. :)

This channel has helped my pixel art so much! All the tips and inspiration is a good way to show people how you do your pixel art and how they can improve theirs as much as they can.
