China’s Communist Party released a communique at the end of its twice-a-decade policy meeting on July 18, 2024. The report offered no quick fixes, but laid out plans to boost the economy, innovation and governance. Unlike previous plenums, which focused on long-term plans, this third plenum addressed the need to “unwaveringly strive to finish this year’s growth targets”.

It was bound to happen. After certain time, growth model of any country needs to be changed. China is recognizing this & implemented timely reforms.

Very goal oriented which is admirable but don't forget the 'less important' things in life like time for yourself and family.. My best client is Chinese. I've been teaching their two teenage kids for about 2 years. It would be nice if their parents would take them out once in a while. Maybe that's the reason why they have classes with me online everyday. So the kids aren't couped up at home alone seven days a week.

We cannot rely on Real Estate forever. Shanghai Beijing ‘s housing prices are as high as Manhattan since several years ago, and much higher than Tokyo, while income still much lower than these 2 countries. Now we are shifting to Electric Cars, solar panels, Ship building, high speed rail, AI, etc New Technologies, to find Growth. It is necessary process, but the transition is not easy. I m Chinese .

Hoover viewed a lack of confidence in the financial system as the fundamental economic problem facing the nation. He sought to avoid direct federal intervention, believing that the best way to bolster the economy was through the strengthening of businesses such as banks and railroads. He also feared that allowing individuals on the "dole" would permanently weaken the country

-"New Productive Forces" = A focus on high-tech industries like EVs, PV panels, wind power generators, batteries, AI, biotech, etc. -"High Quality Growth" = Supporting growth in the areas mentioned above, not supporting growth in gaming, education, social media, APPs in general, entertainment, life-style services and products. -"Chinese-Style Modernization" = Whatever the Party says it is. -"Further Comprehensive Deepening Reforms" = Move away from free-style private sector growth and into more state-directed development.
