It's just the price paid by the poors of the riches to differentiate themselves from the general poors, nothing related to materials or craftsmanship was invested in this pair
  • This makes me wonder how decent the quality of Chinese replicas would be. A few videos on replica Yeezy, Jordan, and Balenciaga would be cool. I want to see the foam, rubber, and knit qualities from some of the high quality Chinese fakes. Love the content. 💯

Destroying Balenciaga shoes before it was a thing.
  • @Izreal2k
If these were at Walmart then no one would even look at them, but since they have that “Balenciaga” logo, people would pay $1k for them 😂
  • @4wrestling
Knew they were overpriced crap but very interesting to see your breakdown of the sole and midsole.
  • Yep, I've had other expensive tennis shoes that did not have much foam or padding on the inside of the shoe. I simply went and got a Dr Scholl's insert and that made it cushioning and comfortable. Than I was back to living my life, happy as a clam.

I missed the videos for like 6 months, and now my boy is even testing the bounce of the foam, keep it up man, great vids
  • @samshepherd26
It's actually a cool looking shoe, I'd be a buyer at about $30

Hey Weston appreciate you cutting these things apart to show the true quality of these designer brands that most working people can’t afford, nice knowing I’m not missing out on anything

This video brought me back to 2009--2012 when I was studying textile industry at a vocational college (graduated in 2012) Nice job
  • This video was hilarious. I live in Atlanta and find it hilarious that so many people drop thousands on these products and the products are just a money grab preying on people who think a high price means high quality. Keep doing what you’re doing, these videos help consumers immensely.
  • "and you can't tell if it is from the thrift store or if it is Balenciaga" - I tore my belly while laughing on this line))))

oh my gosh, his sarcasm is amazing. I've been enjoying all of his videos but his comedy is getting me to subscribe!

Would be interesting to see how the New Balace foam compares to the others. I have some Ultraboost, but that shoe is different. The sole is pretty wide and compared to a lot of Adidas with soft fabric, you don?t tent to slib of the sole inside the shoe. And the feeling of cushion is almost strangely soft whilst still giving more support then the Ultraboost. Feels like walking on moss. Maybe because the foot is more encapsuled because of the wider sole. It also has a very stiff toe rim, which most of the Adidas are lacking. Anyways. I think itˋs pretty sophisticated and well thought construction.

The tear resistance variables could be due to balenciaga threads being double ply vs single ply or higher gsm for density. Also if it was blended with cotton there are short staple cotton (1mm) and extra long staplr cotton (2mm) with ELS being more durable
  • @FlorinArjocu
Love how these tests evolved in time, very nice!

I like the pace of your content. Always going forward, lots of info and very little waffle.
