Just tried it on our recent trip - delicious and very convenient to not have to go looking for a restaurant in the morning. Thanks for sharing this idea.

I recently purchased 2 bags steel cut oats in error. They don't cook as easily as regular oatmeal. I dumped the contents into a slow cooker, covered with water, added cocoa powder, cinnamon and brown sugar. Cooked it then stored the contents in the fridge. Lasted a week and made many quick breakfast meals.

Definitely going to make your recipe for this summer’s bike rides. In the past we have been doing the pre-packaged ones you buy in the breakfast isle at the grocery store

Definetly going to try this recipe out, when cycle camping/tripping it’s the one thing I miss is a good calorie count for breakfast. Thanks for the tip CJ

  • Thanks for a very simple and direct video! Tired of videos that take 10 minutes to get to the point. Is this possible with just water an no skimmed milk powder?
