I literally have that book on my car right now! Love Sandor but wish he would make it more user friendly. Have a feeling most people don’t move forward as more information overwhelms people.
  • First time viewer here. This video popped into my feed likely because I’ve been watching a lot of sourdough focused videos. Not one of them mentioned the rye flour as a way to get a starter going. I am definitely going to give it a try. I am not always good about keeping up with a starter and then am discouraged by the time it takes to develop a new one. I’m also very intrigued by your once a month sourdough baking plan! Anyway, thank you so much for sharing. I will be checking out your other videos as well as the recipes and books you mentioned today. AND might I add, your stove is amazing. ❤️

Great advice, master one item then add another!

You are an amazing family. May God bless your home.

I've been searching for someone who uses only wheat berries to make sourdough. I have not tried it yet as I am intimidated by this process. Thank you for sharing. After seeing your video, I plan to try this in the summer once school is out and I have more time. Loving your videos! Love your gold Nutrimill Harvest. It's the same one that I have. 🙂
  • Yum! I have been making sourdough for a few months. Love the deep dish pizza idea!! We live in Tampa, FL, now, but I'm from Arlington Heights, IL! Thanks! 🙏🏼😄

Just found your channel so I’m going back and watching older videos. Your sourdough video was very interesting. I liked how you just used it once a month. So many channels use it daily which seems overwhelming to this 70 yo grandma. Thanks for sharing in a detailed manner. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🤗

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 20k views!!!!!! I wish every single one of your videos would blow up! You guys deserve the world!!! ❤❤❤❤❤

I have also found rye Tobe the easiest and most forgiving starter. I love no discarding. It is just my husband and I at home now. This sounds like a great way to get back into making sourdough after hurricane Laura 3 years ago sidetracked our lives❤

Thank you for showing so many options of using sourdough recipes. I especially enjoyed the using of an unconventional cook stove.
  • Thank you for your time to share all this deliciousness with us. You make sourdough seem so easy and I'm going to have to give this a go. Thank you again and God Bless
  • Absolutely love your videos and your thoughtful content!! I’m curious if you would put together a video about how to “homestead” in a city or in an apartment? Small ways for us city families to get involved in a more natural way of living ❤❤❤❤

I’ve left my sourdough in the fridge for over a year and drain the hooch off and feed a few times and it’s good to go and I’ve never used rye flour.
