About a month ago I flew home from the middle east to surprise my youngest sister at her high school graduation. I started on June 11th at 6pm local time and started flying to Kuwait City, from there I flew over to Washington D.C In which I missed my 7:30am flight to Boston. I ended up waiting around until I could catch a 5pm flight on June 12th that I was put on stand-by for. After making it to Boston I took a bus shuttle to the Blue Line which took me to the Orange line which took me to TD Garden. I then took the Purple Line up towards New Hampshire and walked to my friends house and gave them a surprise. Two days later (June 14th) I headed up to Plaistow NH at around 6:30am in which I spent 3 hours in a little shack off to the side of the field. Poking my head up every now and again to see who got there. During this time, teachers, and the news anchorman kept opening the door to the shack I was in to see me. The link to the news cast is    • Big surprise for a high school graduate  . Moments before her name was called I exited the shack and walked into view but still hidden behind a tent. Once they called her name I kind of forgot and then ran to the stage hoping to still make it. Thank you WMUR Channel 9 News and Timberlane High School Staff for making this possible. I appreciate it and am currently working on my next surprise trip home.

  • This is the sweetest thing ever! We owe our soldiers so much, esp for everything you guys personally sacrifice on our behalf. I have friends over in Afghanistan, but it's gotta be so much harder to have family overseas. Love that this was one thing you didn't have miss to out on. I hope you get to stay home for awhile, and if you go back, stay safe. And please know how much you're appreciated and loved. We wouldn't have the lives we do if it weren't for you guys. We're damn lucky.

The girl singing background is great. I finally understood every word! I had a hard time the British girls sing it as a salute to the military several years ago. Very lovely voice!

Greetings from the UK. Before the pandemic started a couple of years ago I had never seen anything on YouTube. Now I must have watched, quite literally, hundreds of videos. This one (along with the associated television news clip) is one of my absolutely all-time favourites. The love between you and your family is a shining light in these grim times and shows the very best of humanity. The shots of your flight and the music you have chosen is perfect. Brilliant. All the best.

I got to surprise my baby cousin at a gymnastics meet that she participated in. 6 months at BUD/S, 1000 pushups a day, 1000 situps a day, hundreds of pullups a day, several miles of running a day, hellweek is 5 days and 5 nights without sleep, hours of laying in 50 degree water and 5 mile ocean swims, chafing from the wet sand rubbing on the skin was so bad that skin turns into Hamburg and I never once cried from the pain, but when I saw her face I couldn't hold the tears back. never going to forget that moment

Awesome! That's the way family members should love each other, not hate each other.
