Wolverine has so much history tied to his character. So many different comic runs and iterations. I chose a few that I felt truly highlighted his character, and character journey. Enjoy.

  • @SagesRain
Chris Claremont was the author of the Wolverine mini series, not George Claremont.

Wolverine‘s pain and suffering makes Batman look optimistic
  • One of my favorites Mutants. He have so many layers about his character. Grumpy, sarcastic, cynic, angry yet caring towards his friends, loyal and good father figure.

When Sage talks about Logan giving his heart to Laura....

Yukio: “I saw your death. There was blood everywhere. You were holding your own heart in your hand.”

Can’t help but feel sympathetic for Wolverine when meditating on his seemingly eternal suffering. He’s not the harsh brute, he often comes off as. Logan just struggles to find the balance between his human morals/emotions and feral instincts. Greats vid Sage!

Nature made him a freak, the army made it a weapon, but the X-men saw his heart, and they gave him a family.
HE WAS DESTINED TO BECOME A MONSTER LIKE SABERTOOTH BUT INSTEAD, HE BECAME A HERO

People can say what they want about the Fox Xmen, but I feel like we got one of the best lines to describe Wolverine:

    "You poor, poor man."
  • @sagetan1353
Fun Fact: Wolverine is supposed to be representing people that suffered in war.
  • Logan is like the Guts of Marvel, I wanna explain but I'm too tired.
Edit: Rest in Peace to Kentaro Miura, a true Legend.
  • He reminds me a lot of Arthur in RDR2. At the end of his life he knows there’s no more hope for him. He knows that time is running out for him. The best and last good thing he can do is try and help everyone who is close to him to get a better life.
  • I love that scene in X-Men when Logan finds a runaway Rouge on a bus and consoles her and convinces her to rejoin the team. Proves that dig deep enough, Wolverine has a heart of gold and is always willing to help.
  • @Salemwaaa
Wolverine’s character kind of reminds me of him being a jinchuriki as that he’s a human suppressing a beast that wants to be set free and if he ever gave into that beast he flies off the handle. The beast and James were always in a struggle for power over his single body, like one man with two souls.

Wolverine has been one of my favorite comic character all my life. When I was a kid, it was because I thought he was the coolest, he had cool powers, he had a cool rival, was strong and a badass, which he is. But now, I see how truly strong he was inside. His determination to keep trying again and again is more badass than taking on any sentinel or bad guy.

Logan is the embodiment of the human condition. Even his second most prominent power (his healing ability) is much like how our minds deal with trauma. We can't heal literal wounds like wolverine but mental scars and things that happen to us we eventually heal ourselves over time. Not to mention he has dealt with the loss of the love of his life, dealing with being a father, loving someone who will never love him the same, the balance of light and dark inside us and PTSD. Imo Wolverine is probably one of the most relatable and diverse comic heroes for everyone if they really read up on him.
  • @The_Backman
I feel so much for characters like Logan or Spider-Man. Their tragedies have literally been so bad, that it's easily ignored. Always glad to see that there are people who notice it🙏
  • @breezy3392
Hearing Laura say daddy at the end there just brought tears to my eyes. Seriously, watching the Logan movie was painful
  • Logan follows the code of Bushido. The Samurai. He considers himself a Ronin, A master less Samurai.
