The driver of a dangerously high-speed Corvette seemingly evaded authorities after leading law enforcement on a chase from Pomona to downtown Los Angeles.
The pursuit began sometime before 11 p.m. in Pomona after officers attempted to yield a driver for a vehicle violation. Details on that violation were not immediately clear.
The high-speed driver traveled at speeds of more than 170 mph, zipping along freeways until eventually reaching downtown LA. The driver turned off the car's headlights while speeding between traffic, including a big rig, on a freeway.
The driver then weaved through streets until entering an underground parking structure. It is there where authorities believe the driver got away.

Finally someone driving a corvette who’s driving like they have a corvette.
  • The thing about those C7 Vettes is they feel slow at 120, 130mph... they really are built to comfortably cruise at those speeds.
  • @brianswelding
There was no license plates on the car (that's why they were going to pull him over) therefore no ID. Today is 10 days after this happened and they still have no idea who it was. Totally got away.

Bro entered a cooldown spot after escaping heat level 5
  • If I'm a cop, I'm not risking my life, chasing/driving 170 MPH, over a code violation. Where was the responsible adult who should have called off the chase?

The fastest way to evade a chopper is to fly by an airport, they most likely wont get clearance at a major airport.

5:15 “something as simple as he didn’t have a license plate” Lady, why do you think he is running without a license plate? 😂😂😂 he went out looking to r

The driver sits behind his desk in the bank of America, in a 3-piece suit

Whoever put that speed bump right after a tight turn is the real criminal here.

At 27:26 if u slow down the video you can see he started to turn right but then turned left and lost the helicopter and got away towards the top of the screen. Such good use of the high rises.

I love how the lady says it's not clear if the driver is male or female, but continuously says he and him.😂😂
  • @infinitedelete
0:20 “oh gosh this guys gonna crash” 39 minutes later, he’s free and everyone’s safe
  • @DariousK1NG1
To hear “we won’t be able to keep up” from the cameras in the sky is INSANE
  • @Thumper68
“You can see how incredibly dangerous this is going across all lanes”- Trust me lady it’s much more dangerous if he just stays in a single lane at 170 😂
  • @bonesworld
The biggest danger is the Corvette hitting a pothole on poorly maintained roads at 160+. California drivers know the struggle.
