Hello Alvin from Montreal Quebec the hometown of Celine Dion. I just purchased (finally…) a Pontus II. I got it yesterday but didn’t installed it yet….I got covid and resting. Will probably hook it up today to let it sink in. I probably watched every single video on Youtube and read articles on the web about DAC’s. I won’t get in the details of my sound system but its very good. Guess what? Your DAC’s came in first. Yes I know the best way is to listen but it is impossible to go for a demonstration here. I’m looking forward to try it. And yes a remote would be practical but hey we need to do a bit of exercice….

Thanks for the video, it really did help with the setup. I just received the Pontus II DAC 2 weeks ago. The I2S pin out is compatible with Soundaware streamers 😀 . Works and sounds great!

Hi Alvin, what is the brand and model of the blue power cord you are showing? I'd like to use it on my Pontus 2.

I congratulate Alvin for the effort, but I am having trouble understanding your speech. My hearing is not that great in the first place and closed caption is not available. I wish there was a transcript you could post as well.

Good afternoon! I just unpacked my new pontus 2, plugged it into the stereo system and my mood immediately dropped. I connected a digital aes/ebu to the pontus input, turned on the music and hear a music interruption every 2-5 seconds, at which point the DSD light flashes for a fraction of a second (although I use a PCM stream). I switch the aes/ebu wire to another DAC (topping) and the music plays without interruptions. What should I do about it?

Hi Alvin, I just received my new Pontus II and really like the sound quality overall. Can you please shed some more light on the Phase & NOS/OS buttons .........for example when Phase button is lit , does that indicate positive phase or negative phase status. Also, for the NOS/OS button , when lit , does this mean NOS is on or off ?....Tbh, the user manual does not go into much , or it must be said, enough detail on this area.
