Some tricks:
1. Keep it on/standby 24/7 for the best sound.
2. Use only the RCA or XLR output, but not both at the same time - the outputs are shared, connecting both outputs may degrade the SQ depending on the input stage design of the connected devices.

I'm using the Ares ll for several months now, I find it's sound amazing, I checked it against Chord Hugo, though they have different sound stamp, I found the sound of the Ares ll to be more realistic. And, during that time I needed the support from Vinshin and the manufacturer, all the guys in service and Alvin made sure I get the best service. Once you will start selling CD transports I'll buy one from you though I mostly stream music

Thank you for this video. I’ve had the ares II for about a month now and didn’t know about the windows driver installation. While it sounded good without installing the driver, the sound did improve quite a bit with the ares driver. There is more air in the sound, it’s much smoother and richer, and I can listen at louder volumes without hurting my ears. Bravo!

I find the LEDs easy on the eyes, and that there isn't really a need to change the settings too often...

Just received my Ares today., it didn’t take long for shipping at all. I’m impressed with the sound imaging from what I hear so far. I can’t imagine the sound getting better after the burn in period. Amazing product, worth the money. 👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

I'm fine with the minimalistic design (no screen display and tiny LED lights) but there should be dedicated buttons for OS and NOS and filter switching.

Well done Alvin. I suspect the lack of a led screen is to keep the cost down. Once it's setup just enjoy the music! Mine was shipped today and excited for the arrival.

Eagles, always great to listen to.. But now a question. Would it be possible to create an auto detect function in future firmware updates so it automatically switches from standby to ON when a signal input is detected? If not, what are the differences in power usage between standby to ON?

Thanks for the video..when you suggest leaving it "on".. do you consider standby "on" or are you suggesting that it is left "on" such that the LED for the input lights up.
