Incredible harmonies on stage, but fractured offstage. Will always cherish their beautiful work.
  • It’s 2024, I’m 64, and I’m totally diggin this! This music is timeless! Fantastic concert! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

My girlfriend at the time, soon to be wife, and I, were both there to see this concert. Got married at the end of the next month. She was a huge S&G fan. Hard to believe that we are coming up on 42 years since this occurred. We are still together which is maybe even more amazing.

As is well known, Paul and Art were barely on speaking terms at this point, but they still had great respect for each other as men and as artists. They also had great respect for their fans, and they knew how much it would mean to their fans if they did this. So they buried the hatchet for a night and gave one of the greatest live performances in music history. Thankfully this video will live on for future generations to enjoy their greatness.

I cried through much of this just completely overwhelmed with nostalgia. Now the years are rolling by me They are rockin' evenly I am older than I once was And younger than I'll be; that's not unusual Nor is it strange After changes upon changes We are more or less the same After changes we are more or less the same
  • i was one of the 500,000. the vibe, the music was the best live show i ever saw.

I was there! I was 13 going to visit my Dad on his lunch break and a young man, walking the opposite direction at a brisk pace told me, "Hey Simon & Garfunkel are getting back together and doing a show in Central Park!" I said, "Dad, let's go!" So we did. He called in and his boss totally understood. NYC was a very different place back then!

Brilliant lyrics, wonderful song composition and beautiful harmonizing!! So fortunate to have their recordings!! Simon & Garfunkel are of my generation and I love them as much today as I did when I was living in San Francisco in the late 60s, early '70s!! Filled with nostalgia watching and listening to this - the greatest duo ever!!

Incredible today I found this wonderful concert, I was at it, a magical evening, a first level event with the technology of that time, with a level better than expected It is true that there were more than 500,000 people enjoying it, without disturbances, all with respect for the artists and each other. What a thrill, at 66 years of age, I didn't expect such a wonderful gift. That was true music, today's are bands or artists that last 1 year, if that. I love music, it's one of my greatest passions in my life.
