How could you talk about ULTRAKILL without mentioning the parry feature? The satisfaction you feel when you successfully parry something is just absolutely euphoric.

Fun fact: Andrew Hulshult actually did the soundtrack for Doom Eternal's Ancient Gods DLC along side David Levy after ID's and Mick Gordon's fallout.

The "New Blood" trilogy is fantastic. AMID EVIL is amazing, recently got an RTX update, and DUSK is one of the best games I've ever played.

Saw the title and immediately knew there were going to be some New Blood mentions. Stuff like Ultrakill feels so different from anything else I play, it's almost hard to go back to things like Deep Rock immediately after. Loved hearing you talk about these sorts of games and I'll definitely have to try some of those games I haven't heard about. Thanks for the great video and recommendations!

One thing you forgot to mention in Ultrakill, is that you can punch your own shotgun blasts to make them deal even more damage, as well as punching any incoming projectiles back at enemies.

im sad u didnt mention the custamization in Ultrakill, u can customize the endless mode and u can make the game more compressed up to like 8 pixels or somthin i think and it just still works

Glad you mentioned Cruelty Squad, it's one of my favorite games and it's really fun, once you get used to the visual vomit. Not to mention the story is all over the place, fun, and a metaphor for capitalist stagnation. Selling organs and having a CEO mindset never was so vomit-inducing. Also, I might just buy all of these now (although I'm already in possession of ultrakill)
