fun fact that my bio teacher told me: alpha wolves aren’t even a real phenomenon or thing in nature. The researcher who “discovered” alpha wolves was watching and observing a pack for a couple weeks, and after his conclusion he decided to come back a year or so later and observe wolves again to understand the alpha wolves more. He then realized when he came back that the “alpha wolves” he observed, were just the wolves parents. So I guess guys who say they’re “alpha males” are just declaring their fatherhood to all the other men around them, and you therefore have permission to refer to them as daddy and or mommy.
