Whether it's this or bucket drummers on the street, percussionists can make music out of anything

I remember being a teenager, a new, so-so drummer jammin' on Motley, Dokken, AC/DC, Cinderella, Ozzy, etc., then I got the exploratory idea to only play my hi-hat, snare and bass drum. Zero chops + minimalist drum set = heavy metal Morse Code.

I'm 75 and been playing for almost 60yrs. Well all I can say that's back to the drawing board for me. Great, Great playing Man.

THIS is exactly what i want to sound like on drums. Perfection.
  • This is an absolute masterpiece. The snare work, the bass drum work, the hi hat work, everything is used effectively in amazing ways. I love this

A good drummer doesn't need a like bazillion piece drumset to sound good. This clip is extremely inspiring ^^
  • Damn this is the best sound I've ever heard from a pair of B8s. You made those things SING
  • Awesome playing my man! Back in the day I used to stress so much about drum gear/cymbal brands/setup. Nowadays I constantly remind myself what you really need for a good sound and that's just good hands and ears. Always nice to remind ourselves of that!

I don't know if its the acoustics of the room, but I don't remember ever hearing a Sabian B8 sounding that good.
  • Dude, that was simply amazing. Appreciate you sharing. Someday when I grow up, I'm 57 lol, I want to be half as good. Thanks for sharing. Respect.

Love the groove. Simple setup. Minimalist. But soooooooooo satisfying !

Matches perfectly with Chicken In The Corn from Brushy One String.
  • Less is more for sure, As a Music Teacher and composer, I have found that my 2 to 3 chord original songs are very effective.
  • Amazing drumming. I love how you’re making B8s sound spectacular. In the guitar world it’s often said that the tone is in the fingers. Perhaps it’s not so different for drumming after all.
