Playing old Minecraft Pocket Edition updates in 2023

I found a way to download Minecraft Pocket Edition Alpha 0.5.0 and Alpha 0.9.5 which have exclusive features such as the nether reactor core, stone cutter and cyan flower. It was a fun trip down memory lane looking back at this nostalgic version of Minecraft I would play all the time on trips as a kid. Last time I played the demo Minecraft Pocket edition lite which had lots of features locked from me using so I couldn't try out the nether reactor core. This time we got to check all of the stuff out and I found out the nether reactor core used to spawn in obsidian rather than a netherrack pier. This old version is very nostalgic, comment down below your old memories playing this I would love to hear about your experiences. Thanks for watching, please leave a like and subscribe! New video coming soon :)

I still remember the time that 0.9.0 was released, it was an absolute game changer for pocket edition. Infinite worlds, villages (with untradable villagers), biomes, pretry much all the basic stuff that was in Java had been ported over. An amazing time

the memories are actually insane. I was 5 years old when I played pocket edition for the first time in 2011. Minecraft pocket edition have given me so many memories, I remember running over to my friends house were we'd play on wifi hosted words for hours. Simpler times huh.
  • @realjubagas
I remember in these versions when you could break bedrock in creative but you died if you went into the void. I also remember how specifically putting in a mode wasnt possible you only had mobs on and mobs off! 😂

I think the nether reactor core could be cool if you used it in a cave, bc it’d be like the cave was a “portal” to the nether.

Even though most people either download an apk version on a website, it still brings me back to playing the lite version and being mesmerized of playing minecraft on the phone
  • I still remember my old favorite seed that somehow transcended patches for years, it was originally seed code “0.7.0” and it would spawn you next to a decent sized hill, and if you dug straight down at a specific corner of the hill, you’d run into iron, gold and diamonds all in one no-danger tunnel. The actual code for the seed changed several times over the years of patches but someone always found that exact seed again.

3:48 Fire was removed in 0.3.0 due to a bug and re-added in 0.7.0, and lava was so rare pre-0.9.0, that if you find some, you wrote down the seed. 5:44 It was Obsidian because Netherrack was added in 0.6.0
  • I like limited size worlds, it sorta gives you a challenge of limited resources. With the modern beta mod for java edition, you can live with that if you install a boarder mod that makes you don't walk in the infinite shallow water area.

Who remembers the crazy duping glitches back in the day and how easy it was to dupe and duping over and over to get the nether reactor and do it a ton 😂

This was so cool to watch, because all of the versions of MCPE i played were between these two versions. So I loved seeing the comparison of how basic it was before I started playing to advanced it had become even before it was bedrock!!
  • @techy804
2:12 In that version the edge of the world was covered in blocks called "Invisible Bedrock" (which is a Bedrock exclusive block even to this day) which was similar to barriers except you can't select it and it blocks light. That's why if you go over the hight limit, you can go ontop of the edge.

The amount of nostalgia :O holy moly. This was the biggest trip down memory lane ever
  • Oh man, I remember when 0.9.0 came out. I was so hyped to get a ton of new features because I never had Minecraft on console of PC. However, when I reminisce nowadays, my heart will always belong to 0.8.0 because that was when I first started Minecraft.
  • @erikbrand6682
0.5.0 was the first version i’ve played. the amount of nostalgia im feeling is unreal
  • @Arcticpokemon
I miss the old world size and how basic everything was I grew up playing this version of the game for years since I had no clue what I was doing back then like how to update games 😂
  • As a kid back in 2012 the first time I ever played Minecraft was on Minecraft Lite, I was so terrified of herobrine and the scary fog that I would quit once it would turn night haha, it was so fun seeing all the old block textures and just how everything was. The crafting brought back so many memories, espcially the other two versions you played, its crazy how far Minecraft has come over the past 10 years. I’m just glad I got to experience all of the versions
  • @bigmanjr1237
Fun fact: I watch a youtuber called Dallasmed65, who still plays on his survival created on 0.9.0. He's on current day bedrock edition now, but I think it's insane he's still on his world created in such an old PE version.
  • @Lukes_Sw
this brings back so many memories I remember going into creative and placing the TNT down and trying to figure out a way to ignite it but you couldn't in this version of Minecraft
  • as a 12 year old kid back then with no computer, these early versions of pocket edition really take me back!! we used to use shady apps to edit our inventories and skins, back at a time where the latter hadnt even been added yet! Downloading maps from the internet and using file managers to import them into the game were my first real experiences of using computers beyond just simply clicking and typing in a web browser. Good times, thank you for bringing this nostalgia back!
